To be fair though, he's one of the greatest coaches in the game at this time, it's just that he's outlived his stay in Vancouver and the players have more or less tuned him out... 7 years is a long time for any coach to be with 1 team. The new %50 owners the Aquilini's are a bunch of f**ksticks. They are the ones destroying the team. They are a bunch of loser wannabe superfans, that like every superfan, think they know how to run a team, and thats just what they are going to do, run it into the ground!
I can't say how I know, but trust me they have messed with management, coaching staff and just about everything that was making the Canucks a great team. We are in for a long slow ride to the bottom of the standings. This year was our last shot at the cup for a very long time.

I think that Quinn is way too powerful a character to have his reigns held by a guy like Nonis. In all aspects-stature,character and in over-all hockey(from what he knows about the game to whom he knows in the game). The big Irishman would just be to dominant for Nonis to keep his job. Would not be a good hire for him to do if he wants to keep his job.
A Sutter would be a good and logical fit in this time and place, maybe even instill some work ethic back in some of these guys.
