Seems like a lot of ppl are posting here and other review sites. Hopefully more ads end up on this new site. Though it doesn't seem to look as nice on a mobile browser as CL did. Might take some getting use to

I'm fairly pragmatic about craigslist removing the erotic section. The sex trade is an unquenchable market and the removal of one website won't do anything to change the long term nature of the business. I don't doubt that there will be a disruption in revenue for some ladies and likewise a disruption for men to find someone to play with but it will be short lived. As long as there's money to be spent there will be services to be purchased.

More than anything else I'm disappointed that craigslist continues to crumble to the pressure from various governments. I recognize that it can be used as a venue for underage girls being pimped out or human trafficking (which IMO includes the micros) but simply shutting it down does nothing to solve the problem or get the vulnerable out of the business. Its simply going to drive it underground making it harder for the police to deal with the illegality.
I've never seen anything underage. Politicians just use this as an excuse.
Problem with CL is everything is 10-15 years older than advertised

WTF, "/ers" I'll give it a shot
CL was great as some of the "new" like canadaescorts.ca aren't even populated. YET anyhow.
I'm sure the SP's will find a way. I just hope the word gets out.

"Legs" is the word of the month - spread the word!

Forgive me for being so lazy, but I have no time to read all the crying and weeping that has taken place here in the last 12 hours or so.

But from what little I did read, it points out that the SP's and their handlers are a lot smarter than the average pooner.

We in my area went through the same thing in the last two years.

Forgive me if somebody has mentioned this, but has anybody thought to check out the Therapeutic section? That is where they advertise in SF and just a brief look now tells me that there is about double the normal number of ads there today and soon more ladies will be catching on.

The one thing that has puzzled me about C/L Vancouver Therapeutic is that it seems the advertisers are unable to post pictures. Not so in SF and Bay Area.

So, before you guys get your shorts in an even tighter knot, look around a little, or do you need a picture to tell you what you will not get anyway?

So ridiculous that they think they can somehow control the industry by shutting down a section on one website. The internet and free market solutions make this impossible. Another free alternative or many will pop up quickly. Though the concept of policing/controlling the internet is a concerning one and this is an example.

As has been said multiple times it looks like many ads have popped back up in Therapeutic without the pics and even casual encounters. All will be okay in time, lets not panic here folks.

Duttsvillee.com

Wow, a complete knockoff of the Craigslist site.
Should work if it can handle the traffic once the word gets out

If they are smart they will charge to place an ad, that would dramatically slow down the spam and multiple posting frinzey.
I dunno if the site will work. A lot of people go to CL for virtually everything, buy and sell, dating, ranting, massages, and finding that erotic (casual) encounter. If anything, Cl shutting down the E section or filtering the therapeutic section or casual encounters may cause people to search out other sites (Perb comes to mind). If the duttsvillee decides to charge then rates will go up fir sure. And lest we forget, before CL, there was the Buy and Sell, GS, and WE.

Therapeutic section has been mentioned already Mike and I did notice ads posted there already as well as in the " casual encounters " area.

This ordeal has gotten the " CL gang and advertisers " all in a frenzy. Their home has been destroyed and they are all running and screaming as to where they should go lol.

That is what I expected. But, from the little time I spent on there today, one thing has become apparent: (I am not a tech expert, so maybe somebody can help out on this). Feel free to correct me if necessary, but it seems that Craigslist (to their credit, has applied some sort of filter to eliminate the use of certain words and make the ads much more tame than we are used to seeing in the Erotic. Last I looked many of the ads were filled with words like bbbj, cim, greek, and there are plenty more, but doing a search on those items produces zero results today. Even though there are about triple the normal number of ads than even yesterday, the ads that made muster seems to have learned to keep certain words out or maybe not be able to post.

I hope somebody researches this a little further and tries plugging some of the other more common words into the search box.

I suspect that with the micros it has been a very frustrating day, especially when they are so accustomed to posting 10 or more a day.

Somebody please do a search for some of the many frequent spammers and see if, or how, they are able to get around the filter.
