I'm glad to see them go, quite frankly that entire organization is a disgrace. It's not a feel good story, in any sense or shape. A team being funded by the NHL in a market that can't support an NHL team is something we should all rally behind? Sorry niteowl, I must disagree with you on this one.

You could walk up to the ticket window last night to buy GAME 7 tickets!!!!

Good news is, it looks more and more likely that the team will be leaving, and even joining our division, we would lose Colorado.

I'm glad. I wasn't looking forward to a playoffs with Phoenix or Nashville.

It's a shame the team left Winnipeg in the first place but of all places it should have never ended up in Phoenix. The only reason it did was because we were (till the economy imploded) the second fastest growing city in the US and currently rank 5th in population, having passed Philly a few years ago. All Bettman could see was the size of the market and he started to drool (even more than he usually does) as the only competition for winter sports is golf and basketball. Right from year one the area has not had a decent crowd and tickets can be had for free from just about any radio station in town if you are willing to go pick them up. For $20 you can buy a ticket (lower bowl cause the whole top bowl can be closed off some nights), get free parking and a coupon for a beer and a hotdog. The fans that do go are dedicated and love the team and sport but it has got to be sad play for such an empty building every night. After Jovo left Vancouver for the big money the 'yotes threw at him he publicy stated a few months into the next season he should have stayed in Van where hockey is a religion and the fans are nuts.
