Scare Virus. Maybe. Its real enough still to kill people. And still create problems in people, who have recovered from it. Maybe the Covid virus has mutated. Maybe it was another virus that caused all the deaths and the Covid virus was blamed for it. WE are not the specialists looking at who, why, how and what happened and when or whether it is the Corona virus or another undected one that is causing the deaths. NO ONE KNOWS. This takes time and research. Time is needed.
The problem is without a universal anti-Covid shot (or whatever shot), which is supposed to boost our immune system; everybody that has not been exposed to it, is at risk.
The risk is infection in the lungs and hence the need for ventilators.
The risk is not enough ventilators. And the increased death toll, due to high increase in numbers infected.
Ask yourself if any hospital in Canada has said it has enough respirators on hand to take care of more than 35% of the population in their area..... So Toronto get 50% rate of population in hospitals (reserves of respirators go to Toronto), the next big area hit is Windsor....no reserves of respirators...... This is the biggest problem, the numbers game.
The other problems facing the health care system is the lack of trained professionals to take care of high numbers of infected cases (if going to respirators). Right now the HC systems are coping. What happens when hospital workers do as the old age homes did (not show up to take care of patients).
These 2 factors, the lack of respirators for hard hit areas and lack/shortage of professionals is why the authorities want to keep the infection rates down. So the health care system won't break/fail.....

So far that is approximately 150,000 people infected. Pop of Canada 37 million. That is less than .4% of the population. Which mean it actually could be 2-5 % of population that has the virus (some people could have it and recovered without symptoms).
Again the numbers predict that the Canadian population is not out of the shit yet. Not till the number of beds/ventillators equals the difference between Pop of Can - Infected. Which means that the infected would have to be 97-98% of Canadian Population....
The good news is that about 2% of the infected so far have died. (The recovered are starting to feel its after effects in long term illnesses). Thats about 9300 deaths. Untold future complications with it. (can't do anything about that now)
Masks are a shit show. There are mask that claim N-95 protection, but don't give it. I have a mask for wood working (says N-95), its hard to breath thru. I have a silcone mask (half-mask- med) for painting (with organic filter- charcoal), its hard to breath thru and it makes you sweat. Any type of exertion is going to be 2X to 4X harder thru a mask. People aren't used to that kind of effort. There fore they cheat, pull the mask down under their nose.... (dumbshits- just take the mask off- its not doing anything for you there)
Nowdays anyone getting a mask certification for oxygen breathing apparatus (firefighters, all Forces personnel- gas mask), know what type of mask that will fit their face and give them the best seal and fit. A good seal will leave a light red mark around the mouth and nose/face area (half or full mask). A really big red mark around, means your mask is too tight.....If you are sweating and your mask moves, you mask is not tight enough (for silcone masks). Paper mask will only do so much, same with cloth, but is better than nothing. The qualification of the N-95 mask where some manufacturers that didn't actually test them to N-95 conditions, but on paper they approached or exceed other mask that have actually passed the N-95 tested. Its kind of like drug manufactureres process, its similar to this and chemically similar, there fore to save money on testing, we think it will work.... And dumbfuck government agencies concurr and you have a new drug on your hands.... that has not been tested....yah for progress and profit....
The thing is these paper mask are 1 use only, otherwise you are dragging contamination from one area to another ( or from store to store in a mall).
I wear glasses. Everytime I wear a paper mask (some type of medical grade for suguries), my glasses get fogged up on exhaling. It dosn't conform over the nose, even with a metal band on nose piece. In other words a piece of shit. But better than nothing. Breathing is hard if I exhert myself with the mask on. So for the most part I don't wear one unless I see a reason to.
