Here's the opening: TORONTO — A wealthy businessman will have to pay more than $50,000 a month in spousal support for 10 years to a woman with whom he had a long-term romantic relationship even though they kept separate homes and had no children together, Ontario’s top court has ruled.

It gets even crazier. How many rich men out there have this exact situation going on?

I've had the exact thing happen to me.

I am a fairly rich guy. I own a pickup truck, a boat and a detached home.
I've had a intimate relationship for a number of years with a lovely lady who left me to be with our butcher.
(Apparently she loved his meat.)
I had to pay her $24.00 a week, for 3 years, but I was able to hold on to my worldly possessions.

So, I still have my 1963 Studebaker pickup, my 14 foot Lund aluminum boat and a 18 ft. house trailer that is
detached from my truck.

I think the key here is that she did stay over at his place. And he supported her during their time together (the credit card thing). They went on family vacations together. Not a strickly Friend with Benefits package. It lasted more than 6 months.
So yeah he ended up paying.

Hey Maniacalone, maybe you should have your glasses checked.. ... I wrote "$24.00" a week, not 2400 a week.
Please note the period after the 24. which stands for twenty four dollars, 100 per month, and 1,200 per yeaar.

I think maniacalone might be thinking with the money code in mind?
