hi everyone,
I need help. Can anyone tell me where I can take the VHS and convert it into DVD in a cheap price but good quality? I took it to London Drug, and they told me that it would cost at least 40-50 dollars per hour of recording...
any contribution or recommendation would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

If you have lots to do the easiest way to do it is buy a dual deck unit. Pop your VHS tape in one side, and a blank DVD in the other side. Hit one button and go have a coffee.

Thanks, hitrack and hifisex..., for the tip; I always wonder if the VHS and DVD dual deck can be recorded either way (VHS to DVD and DVD to VHS), now I guess I got the answer that I need...thanks again... ;)

I don't think your standard VHS/DVD combo can burn DVD's. Also, any DVD that is copy protected will likely not copy to your VHS. I can see why they charge that amount for DVD transfer as it has to be done in real time, that is you have to play the VHS and record it to a DVD. I have been converting my old VHS into DVD's lately, and it has been a slow process. If you have a lot of videos that you want to transfer, I suggest you invest in a DVD recorder with a built in hard drive. Those allows you to edit, put in scenes and menus easily. If you just have one video to do, maybe you should just pay or get a buddy to do it for you.
