Is there a way I can sync my e-mail clients on multiple machines?
For instance, I have a small home network with 2 machines connected to it, my desktop and my laptop. Sometimes when I am away from home or at work, I check my e-mails, so those e-mail threads will be stored on my laptop and I wont be able to see them on my desktop. I know I can export/import each thread manually but it will be time consuming. It would also be nice if i can sync the address book too.

To complicate the problem, I am running windows XP service pack 2 on my desktop and Mac OS X 10.3.9 on my laptop...

anyone ?

I know you can forward all incoming e-mail to another address.....but I never heard of actually sync one e-mail address on 2 computers except when I am at work and all computers are on a neworked hard drive.

yeah I have like four five different e-mail accounts all forwarded to one, and this is the one that I check regularily. But when I check my mails on desktop, the thread will be downloaded onto my desktop and there is no way I will be able to access them on my laptop. I am hoping to find a way that I can sync my e-mail threads on both machine.

The only way to do this is if you have an Exchange server or another e-mail server and you leave your e-mail on the mail server.

When you connect using any machine, it will synch. The only other way I've done it from home is to save my e-mail onto a shared drive and have each machine use the same PST file.

any chance that some of the newer router will have this function built in?

easiest way is to set all but one of ur comp to leave e-mails on server. then at the end of the day, use the one comp that have setting of delete e-mail on server after download.

this way u have copies of all e-mails on all machine
