Need a little help from computer geniuses of the board.

Hypotheticaly speaking,is there some way I could trace an encrypted e-mail sent from the numerous e-mail sites that offer this to some demented people?

Any help would be appreciated.

Per se said e-mails are being redirected through a proxy /service that erases what I'm looking for

Hey stryker, it really depends on what they program that use to send the email & what servers it was routed though. I know that most email will contain a original source ip & then list the router of servers that the message took to get to you. Depending on the mail program your using try looking for a option like view message source or display full headers. Hope this helps

if I said it once I said it twice, G-mail is best to use if you don't want to be traced. It will not show original senders IP.

K,,I feel the need to clarify a few things

- I'm not looking to hide anything,I have nothing to hide nor be ashamed of

- This post was made to see what available means there are as to"TRACKING" an e-mail adress/ip that has been sent through proxies/mail forwarders
