Compooter 411/advice on purchasing..

Fellow PERB, my dinosaur computer just gave up on me and I am unable to reformat the whole thing. It doesn't matter if I switch the hard drives around and the jumper cables. So if anyone could please point me out, what is the best PC/Notebook/Laptop to purchase that is around four to six bills. Only useage for iTunes, movies, and flying around the net. Model name and model number would be helpful too ya. Thanks and hope to get some 411 soon.

nah don't got a iphone at this moment... i don't know really if i wanna get one of those... i like the new android OS system though. problem is, it doesn't run a SIM card application. well i don't think... but gonna wait till next year probably during the summer. at this moment, using some budget mobile phone. ninety bones can't beat that but it got a lot of cons in my point of view. does anyone know what is the best spyware/anti-virus? i heard e-set, which i heard from the jim rome show (radio)...

thank you for the input islandzen... i just heard a lot of positive review from my co-worker on the android OS system. something different and out of the ordinary you know what i mean ya.
