Community/Team Work

I have always been one who believed in that whole community "team work" thing when it comes to a forum board like PERB. I actually love a place like this where everyone comes together to contribute
information, especially to help others out. As you can see by some of my past posts, I have tried to do that as much as possible. Quite frequently on the threads, you see that infamous "any intel on this one?"
My whole intentions for helping, because I have lots of time on my hands, is to try and help people find out if there is any "red flags" (skeptism), etc, simply to help anyone from experiencing scammers, etc,
that so many encounter. Nobody said I was perfect at it, I just do what I can.
Even though I am based in Saskatchewan, I was trying to help anyone, anywhere. Even in a city like Vancouver, there is an average of up to 100+ escort ads being posted per day just on BP. Some new, others
being reposts. We all know the tedious effort of having to dig through 100's of posts looking for someone legit, etc. So all I was doing was trying to help out with the workload. (It's in my nature do that).
But as I found out, when someone like me wants to openly help find information for someone, it can create problems around here, especially since I am relatively new to these boards and don't know anyone,
or what kind of forum life they have experienced here in the past. (I apologize for the lack of knowledge about any of you), but respectively, it's a good idea not to put that effort in anymore. I most certainly
don't want to get in the middle of someone else's problems from the past. I wouldn't have been there in any situation and would not know about it and most certainly don't want to endanger anyone by helping.

Sadly the forum needs more people like you. Too often these days we seem to only get the negative reviews or reviews designed to tarnish a sp image without merit. This board can only succeed if members share the positive and negative.

Agreed. Believe me, I am all in favour of information being shared that exposes rip offs, or dangerous situations, for pooners & SP alike. However, posting the contact information of women who are no longer working is something the mods have, and should, shut down threads over. When an SP doesn't want her whereabouts known, it might very well be for a very good reason.

Been here since late 2007 though after my former SO left the industry I didn't pay anywhere near as much as attention. The forum goes through it's ups and downs. Back in the late 00's, there was a lot more ladies who took part. I won't mention names because likely some have retired and want to be forgotten. And, the forum had it's collection of some real douche bags at the time. There was also more white knight types who defended the women too. There used to be a listing called Perbatory where you could read which user got banned & why. It was actually pretty comical sometimes. There was some pretty wild drama too but that just comes with the territory I guess.

Oh and there used to be a rating system for the posters. You had a number of little squares by your name based on how others saw your posts. Lots of little squares meant you were a liked person.
