There's a certain SP in whom I've been interested for some time. In her ads, she explicitly states that contact is to be made only by calling -- "No blocked calls or texts!" I've only actually gotten through to her once or twice and in those cases, schedules simply didn't align. But all communications have been positive and amicable, so when a window of opportunity presents itself, she's still one of the ladies I attempt to contact. Yesterday, while I was thinking of seeing someone, I decided to give her a call. As has been the case on a number of occasions now, there was no answer and the voice mail was full, so it wasn't even possible to leave a message. Actually, in the past, on her previous phone number, she didn't even have a voice mail. In any case, I was just about to give up on my search for the afternoon when I saw Cecily Blitz's ad freshly bumped. As she was also someone in whom I've been interested since having a couple of very pleasant chats with her on the previous incarnation of erslist (back when they still had ersbook), I contacted her and was lucky enough to be able to schedule a time with her.
So, it's almost an hour later and I'm in my car about 5 minutes away from Ms. Blitz' place when I get a text. I stop at a red light and thinking it could be Cecily, I check the text. However, it's from the other SP. It reads something like: "Just noticed that I missed your call. I'll be home in 30 minutes." Under normal circumstances, to be polite, I would probably have replied by text that I had made other plans. But again, part of her explicit contact instructions is the "no texting" rule. So, I err on the side of caution and do not reply to the text.
This is actually not the first time something like this has happened. About a year and a half ago, I had a session with a woman who similarly had a no texting rule. I was just returning home after the session when I received a text from her that was akin to a thank you for seeing her. Again, I have no issue with that but it leaves me being uncertain as to whether I should respond or not since she has a strict "no texting" policy. My personal sense of etiquette is to want to reply but I also want to be respectful of their terms. Therein lies my dilemma.
So... Opinions...? Thoughts...?
