Have you ever read the comment sections? It's the wild west and all the "loons" come out spreading all kinds of BS and conspiracy etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc
Read the comments section on Rush's new drummer. Multitude of twats slagging Annika for not drumming EXACTLY like Neil did it. One of the great things about live concerts is that the musicians and singers get to interact and entertain the audience and that includes some interpretation of their own (or others') songs.
In an interview with Rick Beato, Annika mentions that she neither has the upper body strength or the endurance to play songs the exact way Neil Peart did so she improvises and adapts.
How do Alex and Geddy feel about that? They are having the fucking time of their lives! Never seen two old fuckers look happier!
That's why so many people shut off commenting on videos.

Yes there can be "out there stuff', but there are alot of people who do comment on the facts. I do think people need to think for themselves and not let garbage crap woke shit do the talking for themselves.
Sure, but they do have a different point of view. I sometimes wonder if they have thought things through or have all the facts.....The best thing to do is to put forward the facts, not the drama or name calling.
I also think that its the way News outlets, get to maintain the silent majority by only presenting one side of the arguement. By not letting people have a voice, you can cram your own bullshit through....
I see more name calling, but my concern was over why the originators of these videos turned off comments.

Sure if you present a opinion, the opinion needs to be defended.
Turning off the "reply" means you don't invite dialogue, and only want to present one side of the issue...
Another thing is when the replies are on: the spell check edits out certain words, so any effective counter is nullified.

No it isn't. If it's their channel they can moderate the content. Anyone on YouTube can do the same.
We can't talk about anything we want to in these forums; does that mean don't have freedom of speech here? No, it's a business and they control what happens here. It's like any other business. If you go into a restaurant or a bar and are disruptive; they can tell you to leave. It isn't infringing on your rightrs.
