I'm writing this post as a request for mutual collaboration between admins of Escorts-based Websites. Is it just me (us - LES), or there are other admins of other adult websites that think we can do something more than just worry about how many people join/visit our website so we can make money?

My point here is that, we should assist organizations that work on Stopping Human Trafficking. I think we (the admins) are the ones that have control over looking how the industry is progressing, because we're in a direct connection with our visitors that have more information about this matter. Local Erotic Services is proud to have a banner throughout our pages that directs members to http://www.stopthetraffic.ca/

Admins, please join me in this thread on Perb to discuss how we can support the efforts of organizations to eliminate human trafficking... and may be one day in Canada people will say that "it's okay to pay for sex...".

I'm very eager to read what other admins think about this issue?

Best regards,
LES

@the Meat Market!!!lol
hi there!

i just want to point out that we are creating ways in which sex industry business owners can contribute to ethics and transparency in the sex industry for the last 8 years and if LRS are interestedin taking part you can contact me for more details.

this board has always been pro active in combating youth exploitation and trafficking. i remember serveral occassions where the status of a worker has been questioned and the board took action.

i want to caution people on supporting so called anti human trafficking groups especially those who are faith based, run by a church group. please try to remember that these people are the opposition. when they say, "end demand" they mean implement the swedish model of criminalizing sex consumers.

these people are not helping victims they are fund raising. some of the numbers they are showing for funds raised beg the question, what is it being spent on? because it's not anti trafficking measure or supports for victims. there are basically none...accept the sally anne's 10 beds in a half way house were men fresh out of prison are also housed...in direct conflict with recommended supports for trafficking victims. the SA said they were "building a house" during its fundraising. they weren't. but it seems the SA have learned there is lots of profit in marketing little girls who are sex slaves...disgusting.

this group seem to be a part of the new "rescue industry" or poverty pimps as we call them. they ave no connections to the sex working or migrant sex working community and are focused instead on raising "awareness" or promoting their ideas for criminalizing the sex consumer.

money in the hands of people whose sole pupose is to irradicate our community and way of life does nothing to help the survivors of human trafficking and in fact their continual promotion of mis information and lack of consultation with those they profess to want to "save" demonstrates that they don't want to help at all. they just want to profit. you can sure they are all being paid to coordinate this effort.

the plans we have devoped in cosnultation with people here and all over canada are well thought out and will combat youth exlpoitation and humantrafficking without destabilizing the safety of 10,000's of adult consentual sex workers.

let's not forget the so called olympic trafficking fear mongering. 40,000 women and girls to be trafficked in 2 weeks for the games. where were they? oh they didn't show up? big surprise....but did any of the so called anti trafficking campaigners ever apologize for all the harm they caused with their rhetoric? no they demanded action on human trafficking, incited a series of raids, drove migrant sex workers underground, caused countless deportations and finally the murder of 3 members of the migrant sex working community.

these people do not have the tools to find or support human trafficking vicitims, where is the money going?

if people want to contribute to organizations working with migrant workers and trafficking victims they should contribute to SWAN, ORCHID or ASIA. these are the real orgs on the ground. not some church based group who really just want to irradicate the sex industry.

incidently, 600 people in canada are NOT trafficked in the sex industry every year, it's 300 and the whole canada as a transit point for 1500 to 2000 people being trafficked into the sex industry in the US, that has been proven no where and is another example of this group promoting estimates as facts. the estimates are based on skewed data not unlike the whole-all sex workers were molested by their parents assertions.

do not contribute to groups like this. the GAATW report- 9 acedemics in 90 countires- ethical and unbiased data, state that anti trafficking campaigns cause sex workers more harm that traffickers.

this maybe a little self serving but hey, what the hell!if people want to see action why not contribute to the CAEC? the organization we have all created together. we are working our asses off to combat these groups without funding of any kind.....

church groups and anti trafficking rhetorick are the reason for the escalations in enforcement and penalties and the reason the harper government are arguing in ontario that prostitutes do not deserve protection of law as we willing enter a dangerous profession. they will do whatever it takes to "end human trafficking" and do not care if we adult consenting workers are hurt in the process.

we get what we deserve and as long as the 300 trafficking victims are safe, the 10's of thousands of us who pay f r their arrogance with blood and tears are irrelevant.

please do not contribute to the anti trafficking disaster. ask any migrant sex workers how they feel about anti trafficking campaigns...oh ya, you can't. they've either been killed or deported.

this is a nice sentiment but there are way better ways to combat exploitation the sex industry than contributing to a church group who would probably never accept our donations if they knew we were sex industry consumers and workers let alone talk to us at all.

love susieXXXO

you can see the plans and rationale here; http://www.wccsip.ca/caec.html

it may seem like these things are taking a long time to happen but there is no easy fix. we are doing the hard work and creating real solutions which will actually impact the safety and stability of the sex industry.
support real chhange and self determination for sex workers!!
