I feel a cold coming on, which means it is too late already.

So, I am wondering if Cold FX does work.

I don't have the cold yet, but I am getting chills. That is usually a sigh for me.

Any other prevention suggestions?

The topic of cold/flu cures is always a bit contentious given the various studies from mainstream and alternative medicine. A few years ago echinacea was supposed to be the natural remedy but recent reports seem to indicate it doesn't do squat.

99% of the time I get a cold or flu it starts out with a sore throat. I don't know whether it actually helps or its just a placebo effect but when I take coldfx, chew some zinc lozenges and use zicam nasal swabs I can usually stop the bug in its tracks.

Beyond that I think our Mom's advice was best. Get lots of rest, drink fluids and chicken soup to keep your strength up.

chicken soup and sleep...thats what I do and thats what works...I can get rid of a cold in like 2 days max, vs. 1 week or more otherwise...

that, and I love chicken noodle soup, the chunky one...

Cold FX is a preventitive medicine. Taking it after you have contracted the cold virus will do nothing for you. In order for it to work, you have to take it all the time, the same as you would a vitamin. Does it actually work? Some say yes, some say no. I think that debate is the same as the flu shot debate. Some people swear by it, others hate it. Each of us is different and it's up to the individual to determine if it works for them or not.

I've used this stuff as soon as it came onto the retail market. Follow the directions and you can cut the cold time from about half to just having sniffles for a couple days. If I have a special event or am going on hollidays, I'll take 1 a day for a couple weeks before to ensure I don't get a cold. This stuff is pricy but it does provide results. Professional sports teams feed this to their players to reduce downtime on the field or ice due to colds.

i stay away from medications that require constant use to work. body will become used to not having to do as much then when the outside help is taken away for whatever reason, the body won't be able to fight any virus's as hard as it will have become used to the extra kick that the medication had provided. just a different form of addiction.
So I guess if you were diabetic you wouldn't take insulin then, after all you would have to take it every day. Your argument makes no sense or like the good ole boys say " that dog won't hunt"

I have read reports that basically accuses Cold FX of rigging their clinical trials or limiting the scope of their clinical trials to produce favourable results. And that's the direction I am leaning towards.

For me, a bowl of chicken soup, some brandy, and a couple of fags should do the trick.;)

I try and take it every day (if I remember), I find that I haven't had a cold in years, but I do have minor symptoms....like a running nose, but nothing that ever keeps me from work ( or play).....a lot of hype with the stock though, they are spending millions to try and break into the US Market with Mark Messier (booo) as their spokesman. The US has been the graveyard for many CDN companies trying to expand over the years...

my mother would rip a strip off of me if she knew i took the stuff
(and only under time budget circumstances - as sometimes, we just cant afford to feel sick)

i understand the main ingredient is ginsing
which in the cold fx prescribed mega dose
is like jumper cables to ur immune system
minimsing or outright overcoming the encroaching bug

but the question is tolerence levels
as it is used in traditional chinese medicine
for the old and elderly
a source of energy
so she says
"if u use ur magic pill now, what are u going to use when you really need it in your older years?"
*smacks me upside the head*
"you're young, you're supposed to take care of yourself so you're strong"

in traditional chinese medicine
it is 'hot'
with thermogenic and energy boosting propertys

so if i get sick
my mom might make me
a pot of ginsing braised chicken soup

I love my mommy! :)

You can just take cold fx even tho you are not sick?
I thought you take it if you start feeling cold is coming down.
It's not a cheap product to take every day.
You can take it as a preventative measure as well. It's not cheap but it works. I take it regularly and have not had a serious cold since I started.
I did wake up yesterday morning with the beginnings of a sore throat so I upped the dose to the 3/3/3. That should look after it.:D

www.airbornehealth.com - you can order it online or buy it at pretty much any drugstore in the US. I think you have to have a US address to get it shipped, though.
