I agree...I had a few jobs where I was treated like complete garbage. I was working at whitespot as a hostess when I was a teeny, it was my second day, and I have really frizzy curly layered hair, and one hair was out of place so without thinking, out of pure habit, I used my hand to put the flyaway hair behind my ear, and then I heard screams from my supervisor, verbal abuse and attacks infront of the WHOLE restaurant - she was screaming about me touching my hair during the job, because of hygienic reasons I suppose...I just quit after that, crazy psycho monsters given power who abuse it, no thanks. I'd rather get fucked instead of being harassed and enslaved by bitter crazies for a few dollars. It depends on how you look at it.
If you enjoy sex, why not get paid for it.
You can refuse if the Pooner looks dodgy and most likely make your rent that month as your income is not dependant on a single Pooner.
Now, how about having a Boss you have zero respect for micromanaging you for 8hrs a day.
If you live check-to-check you can’t just refuse and still make rent that month.
One example is sexual, the other is a lack of control in your own life.
Both can be considered the ultimate degradation, depending on your own personal point of view.
These are a lot if things I find degrading that others do not.
Another job I had was so shady - you had to have thick skin to work there (stated by many of the employees themselves), an online "canadian pharmacy". Scamming and ripping off senior Americans with foreign medications, some people even died because of the recklessness. That job made me really depressed, hearing sob stories from American patients who paid fortunes for their meds so out of desperation they put their trust in shady online Canada pharmacies. Just disgusting, the corporate/business world is absolutely terrible.
