Club Eden -- what is it about?

My boyfriend and I often find ourselves at a regular Granville nightclub in Vancouver getting quite hot and heavy on the dance floor, wishing we could stay and do whatever, but always having to leave early for home. He suggested we try Club Eden. I have never been, but have been reading online forums that it is a swing/poly nightclub. I'm open to trying new places, but am not comfortable with the idea of having sex with anyone other than my boyfriend. For those who have been, could I get some insight as to what will be expected of me if I go? As much as I love meeting new people, I don't want to be in an environment where I might feel pressured, or maybe even looked down upon if I'm not keeping up with the general culture of the club. My main purpose for going is to be able to enjoy being out dancing, listening to great music, and focusing on my boyfriend. Any description/advice of the club would be greatly appreciated!! You will love it. Eden was the first club that my wife and I tried and in our opinion the perfect introduciton to having more fun.... Because there is a large dance floor, Eden is less intimidating that some other clubs that run out of homes. Some people just go in sexy outfits and dance all night. In the dance area, your pubic area must be covered and no sex is permitted. However, just about anything else goes :) Usually in this area couple are chatting and getting to know one another.

Then there are the play areas (lots of towels, condoms, lube available) - men are not allowed to enter these alone but beyond that there is no real expectations. You can choose to go in there and just watch others, play just between the two of you, or ask to join with others. The choice is yours. If someone shows interest in you there is no obligation to say yes. Gently decline, they will understand... There are some very private play areas and some very open - choose to give him a BJ in a dark corner or while he is overlooking the dance floor or climb on top of him while laying on a couch out in the open... Or, there is even a space or two with a door....

My advice is go and check it out. It's totally okay to not do anything at all your first time or two as it takes some folks time to get comfortable. However, given your initial comments about not wanting to have to leave a regular club in order to have some fun I predict you'll go for it and then you'll be saying "holy fuck that was fun"... Downstairs is like a night club but with less clothing. Upstairs there are play areas and you can play with curtains open for people to watch or privately by closing the curtain, or you can watch others play. This sounds exactly like what we're looking for! The idea of going to someone's house is pretty terrifying to me at this point haha. Thanks so much for the description. I feel much more comfortable with it now. One last question, do they sell alcohol there? I read somewhere that it was BYOB. Either way is fine, but I think I will need to be heavily intoxicated! :D

why don't you try Sin City or Noir first? Lots of flesh and kink in those places... if you feel comfortable there, move on to Eden. Maybe ask your BF why he wants to go there, too....if I had a gf that wanted to go to a swinging place, I'd be sure to have a sit down and find out exactly her reasons for wanting to do it (not accusing, however...just curious...)

CJ has a very good point, discuss expectations and limits before you go. Also, if you find yourself starting to get into "something" it's okay to stop and ask your SO if they're comfortable - you won't look like a goof doing this, a lot do....

No pressure to dance, no pressure to drink, no pressure for sex. I've seen some couples just sit down and watch the entertainment.

Age group - all ages but does tend to be on the younger side - not too many 60+ :) My wife and I are definitely not in our 20s or even 30s anymore but we're quite comfortable and have fun....

As V said, licensed premices... the house type clubs are not licensed and those are BYOB...

Zoomanity on Saturday night was a ton of fun, you should have been there.... ;)

I think my BF's reason is he wants to try something new and different. I've been to Sin City before and loved it, but he has not. There's no real reason why we're not doing Sin City first, but are you allowed to do the same things at Sin City as you are at Eden?

Basically, I get pretty turned on when I'm dancing and drinking with my BF and don't want to have to leave the premise in order to have some more fun. I think this alone turns my BF on lots so he just really wants to go regardless. My only concern for starting this thread was that I wanted to make sure I'm obeying the culture of the club. Would hate to show up and be considered a Debbie Downer, but I see that isn't the case so all is good :)

Hello...Quick question for my Canuck friends! As an American I just learned about these swinger clubs from this thread,and have become UTTERLY fascinated and spent the last couple of days learning as much as I could about these clubs. You lucky bastards!! :) My question is as a physically fit, quite attractive well dressed single male with lots of experience frequenting peeler bars and occassionally escorts and being quite familiar with protocol and courtesy in these environments up in Canada in my youth before my old dui how hard would it be for me to get into one of these clubs such as Eden or Kat's fantasies. I could provide references from several prominent members of society in the Vancouver area from the legal,medical,and business community that my family and I have known for years that I know would vouch for me. and could certainly provide clean medical certificates if asked. Would these types of references be acceptable seeing these clubs seem semiprivate kind of like country clubs. Sorry if my thinking is off with this idea,but I have nothing like these clubs to compare to in the states. Haven't quite been able get a grasp on how "exclusive" these clubs really are from what I have read. Any advice is much appreciated. Becoming a fullfledged member in these clubs is now my new obsession in life :)

Those references are basically worthless. What you need is a single female to go with, or a couple to sponsor you.

We have many more in the lower mainland than those you mention. However, you do have *1* of great notoriety, and that would be the one in Portland Oregon.
