I went to Harry Rosen and had a really nice HB suit made for a friend's wedding, since I am an odd shape.
They were very pleasant to deal with.
I wore the suit to the wedding, felt great, got complimemts and then the outer pant seam disintegrated during the reception.
I’ve bought many suits at Harry Rosen over the years. Take the pants back. They will make it right.

Yes. One thing that’s generally good about Rosan/Holt is that they, if you initially get tailoring from them, they will absolutely make it right. The markup on the clothes are massive so the value add has to come from the service.

As I’ve mentikene before, a bad suit with a great tailor is better than a great suit that’s botched by a bad tailor. Take full advantage of them making it right.

... Logistik, a Canadian company, developed/designed the Canadian Forces CADPAT uniform which is felt to be one of the best camouflage. Mess and DEU's are more or less "off the rack" issue and it is up to the member to get the uniform tailored. ...
Not to hijack the thread any further, but there are a few errors in the facts stated in this quote.

The “CADPAT,” short for “Canadian Disruptive Pattern,” is a digital camouflage print that comes in several varieties that was developed by the Canadian government, and for which it has the copyright and trademark. It was put into service in 2002. The operational CADPAT uniforms are manufactured by a number of Canadian companies contracted directly by the Canadian Government, not by Logistik Unicorp.

The dress uniform (DEU) is manufactured, warehoused, and provided to CF personnel by Logistik Unicorp (based south of Montreal, current holder of the long term federal contract for this) using a mail-order interface, with local tailoring as required.

The mess dress uniform is purchased by individual CF members from local, national or international sources, made to order for each individual but meeting a common standard based on the environment/classification/regiment of the purchaser (see reference below).

Hope this doesn't clash with Sy's sense of style...

My two cents.

Harry Rosen scares me. As soon as I walk in they are all stareing at me and I just walk right out.

I just about fell off my chair laughing ....not at your post, because I believe it to be on target.
But I'm sitting in my chair with that pattern of Camo on my shirt....which I hardly wear anymore, as I only have a few left.

Was it "... Sy's sense of style ..." that made you laugh?

My sense of style is "clothes that my wife buys in thrift stores", or "suits that I bought in the nineties and still have in my closet".

Well Sy, you need to get yourself a CF One card (if you don't already have one) and go shopping at CANEX online. All the CADPAT items you never knew you needed... and they deliver too! Well, not sure about delivering to the back woods, but they do deliver to postal addresses...

And I know what you mean... over the years, the stock of Army things dwindles as age and wear & tear take their toll... The circle of life ;>)

Yes I do have one, and they're discount program is actually pretty damn good.
My mailing address is a GPS co-ordinate, so I have packages delivered to a local business about an hour away, they provide this service for Veterans, and Emergency response personnel free of charge, to hold packages for pick up.
Thanks for the info all the same....having the card hasn't crossed my mind for awhile, and if I am going to spend money. Why not support the program at the same time?
