I have a urine test done & blood test once a yr and this clinic doctor told me i dont need a blood test. He said just use condoms and you wouldnt need a yrly blood test. I told him condoms arent 100% and i feel more comfortable if i had one .....especially after going on a sex vacation in thailand. Then he gave me this look like im wasting his time. All he has to do is grab his stinking pen....write on a piece of paper and send me across the street. When im about to leave he reminded me again that i should just use condoms and blood test isnt necessary. I thought holy fuck where did this idiot doctor come from?

Just told the guy i dated a bunch of females and i wanted to be tested. Then he said all that nonsense i wrote about.....he reminded me my last test was last yr. Christ what's the big deal with getting tested yrly?
Was this at the STD clinic the Health Nurse is part of or one of the many walk-in places? Maybe you should post the experience (or pm) to HN and let them know who and where, or even a 2nd opinion from HN.
This was just a regular clinic where they have a doctor and he or she suppose to send you to a place for blood test,urine,cancer test etc.

Just tell him that you just started seeing a new girlfriend and the condom broke once during sex; that worked for me.

Let's play devil's advocate. Did you ever consider that this doctor considered you to be the idiot for wasting tax dollars on medical procedures you really didn't need to have. Take a good look at what the health care portion of the budget is, and consider how much is spent for crap. I don't spend a lot of time at doctor's offices, but when I have been there I have seen way too many bullshit visits happening. Personally, I think too many people, think that just because they pay medical insurance, they have to use it to the max for shit they don't really need.
Actually i dont wanna go visit a doctor at a clinic. Rather go straight to the blood testing centre across the street. But im told i need a doctors referral every yr to get my blood tested.
Either way, medical pays. Consider an alternative, go be a blood donor. They'll test the crap out of your blood before using it, will notify you if something shows up and it's free. Plus you'll be doing a good deed to balance the scales for all the debauchery ( alleged ) in Thailand.
I agree with giving blood, that's what I do a few times a year... and they test for EVERYTHING! But you kinda have to fib during the interview process.
