This morning I dropped off some food, and toiletries for an SP friend (I was also a client, but not right now).

While I was unpacking stuff, her buzzer rang, and it was a client who was 20 minutes early.

Luckily, her place has a fire exit I used to leave, but what if she'd been with a client? Or what if I decided to stay and meet him? Awkward for her, any way you look at it.

Who arrives 20 minutes early, with no warning?

She just called me to apologize, and said she would have made him wait, but he was a regular.

Is it a case of a regular taking liberties, or just being unthoughtful?

Same as any 'guest' arriving early for a function. I've answered the door in my robe said you're early, not Hi, great to see you, created the embarrassment they deserve and said I'll be dressed and ready shortly. Find a seat ...

A client who has approximately zero respect for the SP.....a first timer could be forgiven for the absence of thought, but a Regular knows exactly what scenarios could play out....time to put that old dog down.

I dunno. Even a first-timer should be expected to exercise common courtesy. As masterpoonhunter pointed out, any guest arriving early by a large margin is being rude.

It happens all the time until you’ve very clearly stated to some gentlemen .
I say , if you’re more then 5 mins early , go for a drive . We’d rather you be late by 2 mins then early 5 or more , it’s very self centered, but sometimes once you are clear with someone once they don’t make that mistake again , setting boundaries is the name of this game .
