I don't think there is any evidence to support the "back to the street" notion - there is lots of evidence that clearly shows the ladies have found other avenues for self-promotion.
I do agree that picking on CL really hasn't accomplished anything but it was "political" move and purely political moves rarely accomplish any real lasting good!
