" The problem is drug use should not be a criminal problem, it should be a medical, mental health whatever problem. Seems kinda funny though on a board where everyone ignores the illegiality of paying for a woman to have sex with you some of you seem to wonder why people who do drugs are any different. " Zippy45
The problem with drug use is that you first choose to do drugs. Then is the availability of those drugs. Do it often enough, and you are likely to get addicted. When you are addicted, it becomes your life for the next fix, nothing else matters....
So maybe drug addiction is a medical problem, the facts are in this day and age, no one should be getting addicted, because of the amount of informatioin about drug addiction is out there. Campaigns for the last 30 years of "just say no to drugs". But peer presure, probally started you off on weed, then people are offered the harder stuff and so on....
So why are there still addicts, because of the amount and variety of drugs available to you. Its your friends and lifestyle and stress in your life that determine if you are going to do drugs (minus the oxycotin shit from doctors overprescribing). There is always someone you know that deals drugs, or a friend knows where to get it. This is the norm in our society today. Its not like they are handing out coke samples at the local catholic church.
As for the law about sex, well in 2014 the federal party did that to say "fuck you" to the court system in Canada. Its not illegal for the person that offers sex, only for the person paying. Talk about a double standard, when is one side of the transaction illegal, but not on the other side.... really that law is not logical in any sense.
People are free to make their own choices....
But remember when you do your next drug, is the system supplying you with the drugs, have murders in it? For coke coming from Mexico and south america, the cartels control the flow of drugs to Canada and the USA. The violence is really bad in Mexico, and look at the rival gangs in the lower mainland and the drive by shootings, as a drug user you are contributing to that violence... (Out of sight, out of mind)
