Sometimes it needs to be done medically. My exs girlfriend's son needed it done, apparently because the foreskin was too tight and it couldn't be pulled back for cleaning purposes. Sounds weird but it needed to be done.

Was circumcised as a baby so don't know what it's like to be intact. Still bothers me a bit that I'll never know what it's like to have intercourse as nature intended, but it doesn't bother me as much as when I was in my late teens and early 20's.
If I ever do have any sons I will not get them cut, that's their decision when they get older (unless they have a serious case of phimosis or something).

I was circumsized at the age of 37. It was to deal with paraphimosis which is a condition which occurs in men where it is impossible to pull back the foreskin to properly clean. Despite what some people might say, nature does not produce the perfect body at birth. I know that my father suffered from this and never had it fixed. My son has it and he is now 20 and he will decide how to deal with it. Sex prior to circumsion was okay with a condom and unpleasant without it. After the circumsion, there was some pain but eventually it was better. The sex is now good with both condoms and without. My own experience was that it was positive and results in better cleanliness, better sex, etc. Lots of good books on this. Don't rush into it if you are interested and definitely get a good urologist. I am surprised by some of the comments and how little some of the people know but I guess that my own experience is fairly unique as I did wait so long.

The excuse that circumcision is cleaner could only come from those who have had it done without any say in the matter and now need a justification. You’re not going to cut off your toes to keep you feet from smelling.

Failed analogy. Cutting off a wind sock at the end of your cock is not the same as cutting off a limb. Wash your feet. Not as though you have to pull anything back.
This actually goes back to Judaism way before Christianity as a covenant from Abraham to God. As well circumcision in different forms was practiced by many cultures and societies around the world including the Ancient Egyptians and Old World African tribes. So nothing to do with religious racism more of a tribalistic ritual.

As a happy owner of a downstairs anteater I can say it took me a while to reach a comfort level with my equipment. Being born in the 80's it was the norm for most of my friends to be circumcised so when showering after sports became a standard thing I definitely had some body issues about why mine looked different from most of the other guys. I also found that in my original forays into sexual activity it was always a bit of a surprise to the girl I was with when they realized that I still had foreskin. Luckily, it never seemed to be a real issue and after a brief tutorial we were always off to the races.
Hygiene is definitely important and in my teen years I had to have one awkward conversation with my doctor about how to properly clean under my foreskin, but once you realize the maintenance that is required it really isn't too difficult to keep things in tip top shape.
In the end, once I realized that what I thought was different or weird about my uncircumcised dick was actually just a different version of normal, I was able to carry on with my life and be happy with my body.

Not too many of males have experience with both circumcised or not circumcised. you use whatever you end up with. Just wished more of the ladies would offer their experiences and preerences on this topic.
This is an odd one for me. I'm not cut but had 3 gfs that argued with me and were adamant that I was. Not germs. But it can attract jock itch like fungus if you don't clean it properly and frequently, especially after sweating, which includes wearing tight underwear. Of course, women have fungal infections too.
I had a friend who said she won't fuck a dude unless he's circumcised because she just didn't like the look of an uncut cock. There is still a LOT of stigmas associated with being uncircumcised, especially within the medical community. Those who promote it are always the ones who had the painful procedure done as a baby. I have very mixed thoughts about circumcision. First off I am circumcised and I love my circumcised cock. The look and feel suites me and the ladies just fine. I drank the kool-aid and I am perfectly okay with my present situation. However, when examined from the point of view that we are born naturally with a foreskin suggests to me it has a biological purpose. We haven't yet morphed that feature out of our evolution. Also, the act of mutilating an innocent unconsenting child, using some crazy ritualistic religious belief as an excuse, is just fucked in every way. In conclusion I would think this should never be allowed to happen to any child.
