I’ve always thought circumcision was really weird. Why chop up your child’s genitals? You can’t consent to something like that when you’re a child. And I know it ends up taking away feeling from your penis. Bleh. Anyways, I’m curious how others feel.

I had a partial circumcision, they cut a slit in it, done for medical reasons a few years ago and that hurt like hell! Now I’m glad I had it done but inflicting that kind of pain on a baby is wrong!

The idea that circumcised penises are cleaner is rooted in religious racism. Christians wanted their members to think that others were “unclean” etc however they could. SO MANY humans aren’t circumcised, and they’re not “dirtier” than you. I know you probably don’t mean it this way, but that’s part of societally ingrained racism.

Let’s not forget that circumcision is only the norm in North America, in most of the rest of the world it’s only done for medical or religious reasons.

You pull the foreskin , you scrub with a cloth specially around the banjo string ....et voilà. Done ! Repeat before any intimate encounter. Pretty simple really

On a night out and with the possibility of an encounter arising without cleaning facility...you pull the skin and let it rub and dry in you shorts to avoid having shedding skin trap in there. To avoid that you avoid peeing with the foreskin on...simply by retracting it every time you pee .

No hard science but you got to be more methodical and deliberate if you want to keep enjoying that extra sensitivity and make sure your partner is not dealing with smelly cottage cheese ( sorry to gross people out) but it's something the ladies here must have a lot of anecdotes to tell about that .

I joke about peeling my foreskin back and it smelling like low tide,but if you take 10 seconds out of your daily shower routine and actually peel I back and give it a scrub,it'll be fine.

If you think male circumcision is weird, you would be horrified at the 3 types of female circumcision genital mutilation that is still practiced in the middle east and sub-Saharan Africa.
I had an Ethiopian girlfriend for a while, and her clitoris (or the tip/nub) had been sliced off when she was a baby.

As other posters have noted, outside of religious practices male circumcision is mainly practiced in North America. Surprisingly the practice was started by Dr John Kellogg to prevent masturbation.

Circumcised. Not like I had any choice when I was a few months old. I have no idea what not being circumcised would be like so there's no real point in asking whether I'm happy about it or not. one family member had to be done at 21 due to pain during sex & had suffered long in silence but at least as a grown up you are asleep during & super medicated after .

it started in the U.K and spread to the U.S, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. all those counties except the U.S stop circumcision boys in the 70s-80s.
