Cheap accomodations?

I know this has been asked umpteen times before, but I couldn't find any info with search - where's a good, cheap motel around the city? I know I'd have to pay the day rate, obviously, but I just want somewhere private to go that won't break the bank....

Any ideas?

You could try the Red Lion at Portage and Westwood. They have day rates in the mid $30's. You can't reserve in advance, though; you have to go there in person. It's first come, first served from noon till around 3 PM.
