Charles Manson is 77. He's just been turned down for parole and his next hearing isn't for 15 years, which would make him 92, if he lives that long.

Fifteen years might be a long time between hearings, but it makes more sense than our system of every two years (I think) that makes families of victims have to always be worried their loved one's killers might be sprung.

Yes, his eyes made him the most ultra-scary fuckers I have ever encountered or been exposed to. Somehow, the 15 years seems appropriate, in spite of my ingrained "liberal" attitude.

(This is an extension of James Michener identifying himself as a "HUMANIST" in his biography, published just prior to his death, and I had previously defined, by coincidence, my "liberal" political leanings exactly as he did!! Made me feel very special and I still feel a glow to be somewhat "connected" to an American author who became a significant political figure by virtue of his personal integrity.)

Somehow, admitting to having a liberal attitude has personally become more distasteful lately by virtue of the pathetic performances of spiteful/vindictive Chretien and surprisingly inept Martin. Then to be eclipsed by the ensuing Gong Show courtesy of the current federal Liberal Party with Dion. (My jury is out on Bob Rae, in spite of the fact he "swings" playing jazz piano!)

Thank the Lord for Humanists. I fervently hope we are not a dying breed.

I have a DVD min documentary about Charlie Manson and his gang. I don't believe he will ever be released. The most famous serial cult leader incarcerated for life.
