thank you for this intel Man Mountain. These guys just think people are stupid. Anyways, how do you do a google image search precise to the image shown on the ers ad?
Unless things have changed, I don't think you can simply copy the image url from erslist ads and paste them into the Google Image Search engine -- I believe they have some feature on their site to prevent transloading of images by other sites. So, I save the image to my computer in a temp folder and rename it something very clever like "erstemp.jpg"
-- I then go to the Google Image Search page and use the "upload image" feature on that site. Wow... I had no idea a simple "Copy and Paste" procedure would work... learn somethin' new every day!when you right click on the picture, you get a window with a long list of options
at the bottom of the list is the word 'Properties', right click on Properties
the resulting window about half way down has the words
'Address:
(URL)'
highlight the URL (it will start with 'http://' and end with '.jpg'), then left click it, then right click 'Copy'
on the google images page, left click the little camera in the search box, then right click in the 'Search by Image' box, and left click 'Paste', then left click the highlighted blue 'Search by Image' box
this will get around all of erslist's blocks
as always... DELETE ALL TEMPORARY FOLDERS when yer done... EVERY FRIGGIN' TIME!!!
this procedure was posted in the Lounge a few weeks ago, and at the time i suggested to the mods that it would be a very good idea for them to make the original post into a sticky to help pooners to get rid of false pic advertisers, but i guess it fell on deaf ears...
