The conflict in that region will never end.

Religious antipathy in conjunction with a history of betrayal on both sides. plenty of religious passages that have a negative attitude against Jewish people for Islamic followers

The only solution is a 2 state solution that separates the lands and recognizes Jerusalem as a sacred land for both sides but here's the problem.

The solution was accepted by Israel a while back but the Arabs said no and instead invaded a few times.

Now the tides have shifted and Israel has nukes that can put a crater in any middle eastern country.

Why on earth would they relinquish their power?

I do caution the political leaders of Israel. Technology is advancing rapidly. If living circumstances do not change for the Palestinians and killer robot tech continues to get better it won't be long until another major war erupts or another intifada. Time will tell

Speaking like a true right wing Fox news war monger changing historical facts saying "Palestinians never existed"? Palestine definitely existed and was an independent country regardless of being under the rule of British colonials or the Ottomans for a brief period in their history. It's like saying India never existed because they were colonized by the Brits for a while. Makes me doubt how truth-based the rest of your arguments are.

You can't free your own land by standing on somebody else's. ( in response to the original point of this thread )

As to somebody who's aunt was a member of the Irgun from 1944 til the birth of the State of Israel I would suggest that, until the west, in particular the U.S.A. gets over their guilt in how they treated the Jews trying to escape the holocaust, there will never be peace in the Middle East. Israel will use the Holocaust and the mantra, "Never again" for as long as it is effective.

As a back story. The reason my aunt was able to go to Palestine was because she and her son were smuggled out of Germany by her sister-in-law, my mother. Mom at the time was 19 years old, six months pregnant and a widow. What started with her in-laws extended to other Jewish families in her home town. She had also managed to get her Father/Mother/Brother in-law out of the country. Neither Canada or America would let them in because the son had Downs Syndrome. They returned to France and were turned over to German authorities by the Vichy French. They did not survive.
