Is there a site where I can find what is the best oil or tires or spark plugs, that kind of thing?

Ever since I bought my Civic I've been what to change it's factory parts to get a little more improvement like power and other stuff.

If you own a Civic you are in luck, as there is a wealth of aftermarket parts for it. I would start by checking out the Temple of VTEC: http://www.vtec.net/forums/

As for parts, two of the more reputable makers of Honda/Acura aftermarket performance parts are CompTech and Jackson Racing.

Hope that helps :)

Any aftermarket parts such as spark plugs/a cold air intake/high flow exhaust will add tiny amounts of HP that will just not be noticed whilst driving. If you want to add some signifigant power then you have to go with forced induction. You have 2 choices, either a supercharger or a turbocharger. The former gives phenominal off the line power and torque at the expense of being mechanically driven. The latter offers overall higher HP at higher RPM's for free as it is fed/spooled up by exhaust gasses.

There is a shop locally that specializes in civics and the like www.speedtech.com though I am sure there would be something similar in the GVRD.No matter which route you go it is not cheap for the HP gain and the one thing you must have is good engine management or you can kiss you engine goodbye due to detonation.

Currently I have a 1st gen MX5 miata and am running a jackson racing M45 supercharger with 7 pounds of boost.I have an MSD ignition controller but have allready bought a Bipes ACU for better timing control.I am also going to get an AEM wideband installed to keep an eye on my fuel ratio as well to aid in tuning.Current HP level is about 150 HP at the rear wheels ....more than enough to eat a V6 mustang off the line

No matter how much power you add to a Miata ....it's still a Miata. They are a big hit here in Vancouvers West End though. FAB-U-LUS

Ummm ... with 7 pound of boost I kinda would have thought you would be getting more than 150?

Maybe go to a turbo charger & see what kind of performance you see - besides, that little 1.6 litre doesn't make much till you ring it out anyway.

Hubba - go to any racetrack in North America on any weekend & you will find more Miata's taking home more trophies than any other car PERIOD!

That is a fact Hubba - whether you like it or not the Miata is a very well engineered sports car that has increadible handling and control due to it's perfect 50/50 (front/rear) weight balance.

Few cars under $100,000 have the same performance outta the crate as a Miata.

Another thing the Miata has won more awards than almost any other model in history.

Jay Leno owns & drives one & has nothing by good things to say about them.

Jeremy Clarkson also raves about the handling, smooth shifting & engineering of these cars.

Here is a modified Miata out pacing a C5 modified Corvette you tell me which is better:

Corvette is close to $100,000 with mods & the Miata is still under $50,000 fully modified.

The results speak for themselves.

I guess I'm asking a bit too much or better yet don't want to pay a lot as I'm paying off the car. I guess I just improvements here and there like wiper blades, spark plugs and tires.
I heard about a thing call grounding wire kit. Anyone know anything about that?
