I was just wondering....

Whatever happened to all those guys that drove up and down Hastings Street a couple of years ago with CALGARY FLAMES flags on thier cars? Where are you and your flags now? It would be nice to see the occasional Flames supporter here and there because quite frankly we could use the touch of red to break the monotamy of the sea of blue and green that I see today.

Presumably your flags are worn out and have faded away, much like your team, to be replaced by the more vibrant colours of our hometown Canucks. Take heart Flames fan, there is always next year, much to your dismay.

It is amazing to see all the flags out right now. If you were a real fan you would have had the flags out at the beginning of the season. I didnt see many while they were on an 8 game losing streak. Damn bandwagon jumpers

BTW - we are all "Canucks" - but not all Vancouver Canucks.

My Flames flag was stolen last season. No hard feelings though, I would've pissed on a Canuck flag back in Calgary.

To suggest that you have to display a flag to be a "real fan" is just nonsense.

Support for a team can be displayed publicly, like a car flag, obnoxiously, like noisy drunks on Robson St., or quitely just by watching the game alone or with friends.

After all, it's just a game -- not a cure for cancer.

I was thinking the same thing. I jokingly told my 11 year old daughter she should try buying a few flags for cents on the dollar, then when the Canucks are back in the playoffs, likely next year, cash in..
