Canucks....What Now ?

Has anyone checked the Canucks website today ? It's quite funny all things considered.

At the very least I would think they would avoid trade talk unless they've crossed the t's and dotted the i's.

They're still talking about Morrison maybe making a return.

Next move ... Mike Gillis to Avangard Omsk...he should be so lucky.

Should be interesting to see what sort of trades he attempts over the summer.

Just blow the team up. Go with the youth movement. Get rid of Loungo, give the starting job to Cory Schneider.

Morrison looks to be going to the ducks, and bertuzzi signed with the flames.

Hopefully the canucks tank this year, and they can get the #1 pick in the NHL entry draft.

gillis ain't stupid , we've got a good goalie ( since when have the Canucks had a good goalie? ) fuck remember Clouts? remember when we were up on Detroit 2-0 ???

I think the canucks will clearly take some time , but they will make the playoffs and it's up to gillis and the coaching staff to find some boys with a strong work ethic and I think personally we gotta get rid of the Sedins . fuck em

Morrison is a Calgary Flame...Luongo is gone after this season trust me, he left Florida to come here and now it is the same old shit here...The Canucks are not contenders at all, why else is everybody getting the heck outta dodge...As for Sudin, he will retire before comming to this graveyard of a team...

Apparently Gillis matched the offer sheet. The Canucks are paying 2.5 million next season for Bernier.

Whether or not Bernier pans out as a good investment, Mike Gillis is looking like a bit of a bafoooon with this and the Sundin fiasco.

At 33 years of age,it's not like Demtras' best years are yet to come.

Why not hunt down Anson Carter;in Basel,Switzerland.
Tell Dancin' Anson to train very hard all summer,then show up at Canucks' training camp.
I'll bet Anson would sign for minimum wage($300,000-$500,000),for a chance to revive his career with Sedins'.
Anson did work well with the Sedins'.
Canucks could probably use some of Ansons', charisma & cheer.

Does anyone really think that Pavel Demitra alone will help us? I personally don't think so. I still think we need more upfront. Sundin is still a wild card and it's not guaranteed that he will be here.

Right now the way I see it is that our 1st line are the twins and Demitra. Doesn't sound to promising to me.

I dont think Loungo isn't smiling just yet. MAkes me wonder why they signed Sanford again considering he was going to be traded originally.

Canucks aren't taking any chances by losing Sanford in case shit hits the fan and Loungo wants to send a message.

Either way. I guess we'll find out very soon

If the Canucks get Sundin (BIG IF) their top two lines will be the Sedins ad Pyatt and Sundin, Demitra and Bernier, with maybe Bernier and Pyatt flipping. Bernier is only 23 and has time to develop, a solid pickup in my view. If this scenario becomes reality the Canucks with their back end will make the playoffs but will only do something if Luongo plays like Patrick Roy. They probably won't even win their division because A) Calgary, on paper at least, is a better team and B) With Colorado and Minnesota, the division is too deep for Vancouver to mow it down. Expect another second round exit, if that.
