I still think that team that had Cloutier at goal when he let in that half ice shot was the best. Cant remember what year that was?

as a Hawks fan I can only laugh
Im sure it must be hard for people that live in the wonderful city of Vancouver to have such a team to cheer for
hey at least you got great sushi...
how the Canucks became this team I have no idea, they are truly hated across Canada maybe surpassing the Leafs
they were once loved and had players that were respected.

now they got those twins, that can only play when the pressure isnt on them
and a bunch of goons that cry wolf

Are you delusional? The canucks are the dirtiest most hated team in the NHL.What killed them was the amount of penalties they took. The Sedins were a no show of course as they only good for cheap shots and pretty goals on the power play for the most part.No chance of them providing some grit to a playoff drive.

Canucks swept in 4 was happy news this morning.Got to make sure I call my brother tonight and taunt him over it LOL.

Yah, go watch your Flames reruns of highlights and try not to ball your eyes out in your beer because that will take about 3 1/2 minutes to watch.

The flames of the last few years are probably a good indicator of what's in store for the Canucks.

Stanley Cups won by the Flames = 1(should be 2 if not for the BS waived goal in game 6 VS Tampa)

Stanley Cups won by the Canucks = 0(and 0 multiplied by any other # still equals LOSERS)

Riots in Calgary when the Flames have lost the Stanley Cup game = 0

Riots in Vancouver when the Canucks have lost a Stanley Cup game = 2 (lots of douchebag fans in Vancouver)

Take those factual statistics and go have intercourse with yourself.

It's understandable why you are so bitter:

Maybe you should start a petition to get your home team put in another league like the ECHL where you might stand a chance of success. Clearly the NHL is too tough for Calgary. With their genius management moves making them right at the Cap Level it will be years before they can start a rebuild. Or you can start cheering for Edmonton since they have had all the first round draft choices for the past several years. They will be the next Chicago Black Hawks.

Arguably you can say Iginla was as good or bad as the twins. Led thier teams to within a game of the cup but couldn't deliver. Help their countries to a Olympic gold (or 2). Flames finaly shipped off Ig but got minimal in return. Might be time to move the twins at the this season to start rebuilding while they are still worth something or become a team like flames, drifting aimlessly with no direction for many years, clinging on to the beloved captain dreaming that he can deliver

I wasn't aware that the season had started.

On the positive side, no riots this year!

If anyone is interested, Mike Gillis will be live on Team 1040 at noon today for is year end press conference thoughts. Questions to follow I'm sure.

This should be interesting
Gillis says the same thing every year.

"We are going to evaluate everyone, then recommend changes to the owners, and go from there"...

Wow what a surprise,a lot of meaningless drivel posted that in no way counters the facts I stated.I am guessing that it took far too much of your time finding this information that you posted that you did in fact not get to have intercourse with yourself.Doing the latter would have been a much more productive thing than listing useless drivel that does not refute the fact that Calgary has won a Stanley Cup and Vancouver has not.Not to mention Calgary did not have douchebag fans who trashed and looted the city.

they won Olympic hockey, which I do enjoy its very skillful
but it isnt NHL hockey very different games.
and they had a different team dynamic then what they have with the Canucks

to much drama on this team, I am usually first to blame the goalies (Loungo) but he didnt play horrible
Schneder played much worse but with the inconsistency and not having your head in the game I dont think you can blame them
it wasnt like the "highly skilled goal scorers where doing them any favors by getting a few goals so they could work with

Hey bud,

Not sure what fan rioting and a winning team have to do with eachother, buuuuttt...

Montreal has 24 cups and there was a riot in '93. Edmonton Oilers have 5 cups and have rioted once in '06..

Safe to say that Stanley Cup wins and rioting really have no relation?

Also, I'd like to say that most of those "douchebag fans" that incited the riot were not from Vancouver (or BC/Canada even).
No one goes to a hockey game with molotov cocktails in their backpacks and doesn't intend to start a riot. It was going to happen win or lose.

There is no doubt that there were Canuck fans that got caught up in the riot, and really got a slap on the wrist.. (which is shameful of the legal system in Canada..) :\

I also agree with badbadboy, Flames management (or ownership) have made some questionable moves in the past decade.

happy pooning

Meaningless Drivel? Since when are indisputable facts meaningless drivel. Oh right you are from Calgary with one Stanley cup win but have been at the bottom or close to the bottom each year since. Management is so bad in Calgary that they couldn't manage their Cap Space and had to play short handed in several games. I think you have been too busy having intercourse with yourself to realize that facts speak volumes and your tying in hockey with rioters is meaningless. Real Hockey fans don't riot. Just losers as you should know. Read how many times the Flames have not even had a sniff at the playoffs. Like I said before enjoy being at the bottom of the heap or start cheering for the Oilers because those Flames aren't going anywhere again next year.
