i really knew that the nuck were gonna lose tonight, cause the hawks lost BIG TIME to the flames last night's game; seven to two of course for the flames... so ya if you wanna rebound from a sh**y loss, you gotta work harder to make up the loss..

Bar I was at had 8 screens UFC, 1 screen Canucks, and 1 screen texas hold'em. We love our Canucks, but they gotta start winning the big matches. I say switch the Lions coach and the Canucks coach for one season. At least then the Canucks would get some defense and the Lions would get some discipline.

Other than that, life is good.

It is called the chain of abusement....the Hawks got burnt by the Flames the night before so you just know the next game they played they were going to go all out.

Luongo strikes again.
When everyone else takes the night off your six million dollar man is supposed to bail you out.
He's hovering around 10th to 12 in almost all goalie stats.
Best thing he ever done is convince people he's one of the best goalies in the league.
Like the Liberals have people some convinced they are good money managers.
The stats tell the real story.

Wait a minute......didn't he win the Olympic Gold? Isn't that a money goalie for you? Too bad he has done shit for the Canucks.

InTheBum could have played goalie for that team....get serious.

If the Canucks can trade Lou and run with Schnider I would be all for that. Clears payroll and we have a great mid to upper tear goalie at a reasonable price. The problem is finding a team to take him with how he's played and his salary. I think we are stuck with him.
He has a no trade clause for the entire length of his contract. If he stays healthy and refuses to retire, the Cannots are stuck with him until 2022. Now there's a scary thought.

See thats the really funny thing....the canucks are stuck with luongo...I admit the Flames have made some really stupid decisions with signing Boumeester and letting Camilerri go and that Phanuef trade was just plain dumb as they did not get a top line centre which is what they needed...but at least they did not sign a goalie who had a good season to a 12+ year contract that vastly over pays him for his performance...then again this is the canucks we are talking about...the team that traded away Cam Neely LOL

Here's another head scratcher. Schneider has played perhaps 15 games tops in the NHL over 3 or 4 seasons in a backup role and he is proclaimed an upper tear:rolleyes: NHL goaltender. Got to love the Canucks and their crazy bandwagon fans. What next, Keith Ballard for the Norris trophy? Only in Canucouver. Almost, brought tiers:rolleyes: to my eyes.

After the Phoenix loss:

So, is the league's highest-paid player at $10 million US this season happy with his game?

"I'm OK with it," said Luongo, who's 7-7-2 with a 2.88 GAA and .907 saves percentage.

Is he really the highest paid in the league? or just highest paid goalie?

Amazing if he gets more than Crosby or Ovechkin who actuall put bums in seats. Does anyone go to a game to see a goalie?

In terms of actual salary (not cap hit), yes to both questions. Both Luongo and Lecavalier are getting $10M this season. Malkin, Crosby and Ovechkin are next at $9M, what a bargain in comparison.
