Suicide by Cop, denied at its finest. Nerves of steel to not shoot him.

Alek Minnasian Now has to face a courtroom.

And the people who suffered loss and injury will at least learn something about why it happened.

He is one of the "InCel" nuts.

They have a lot of stuff online. Really fucked up and dangerous. One of them killed six people in California a while back. They talk about rape and murder a lot.

I have never heard of the term. That's really creepy. Nuts is an understatement...

I'm guessing the Toronto Police received comprehensive training after the Forcillo shooting, so Cst. Lam was well trained.

Even if he had tunnel vision and shot the suspect, he would have been justified. Guy was posturing as if he had a gun and just killed 10 people.

From above and a distance, it sure looks like a weapon in the guy's hand. Clearly, Lam had a better view from close up.

Still, that was a calm takedown and Lam could have discharged his weapon without any problems.

with our shitty justice system this guy will be found mentally unfit to stand trial. the cop should have killed him. if an animal crosses the line it gets put down. this guy was an animal and a threat to society. you think any of the family members would have been upset if the cop had done what he should have, hearing and knowing that their loved ones are laying on the street with their guts strewn out all over the place. sorry i don't consider this cop a hero at all. he couldn't do what needed to be done and needs to go back to writing traffic tickets which is apparently what his duties are.

In states or many other places he would got a bullet for sure , for this insane act of violence running down people like this, this animal was not getting laid by reports on the news so he did what he did, but in nice Canada tax payers will be on the hook for this one for some time...

There are smart reasons for keeping a suspect alive because he can then be questioned.

Is it part of a larger plot? Were there other attacks planned? Who helped him? Did he have other plans (maybe a timed explosion)?

Kill the suspect and all of those questions would remain unanswered.

The problem is the cop doesn't think he is a hero, just doing his job. It is the Cdn press that is trying to make him into a hero. I think he more than exceeded at his job that day. Thank his training for his quick thinking and actions. Thank the people that trained him.

A policemans job is not judge, jury and executioner. He is to uphold the law. That means taking people into custody to have their time in court for the crimes they committed. It takes a special person to be a policeman, they have to have situational awareness, and they develop that through training....

The article on the cop getting fired for not shooting at the suspect holding a gun, and the 2 cops that came along saw a gun and shot the suspect dead. Those 2 cops should of been fired or arrested for murder. They see a gun and start shooting right away, they are acting as executioners, not policemen.

Professionalism

Aggressive, wingnut, fly off the handle personalities should not be policemen, these are the guys that are gonna start shooting first and asking questions later....

Place yourself in Cst Lam's position.

No two persons are going to act alike. Because they will be seeing different things...
