Does anyone have any experience using the Canada Post Prepaid credit cards? They have a Visa and a Mastercard that seems focussed on travel and international purchases. Any feedback about pros or cons you've found for either one would be appreciated.

I have used the Canada Post reloadable VISA for the past 5 years. My recent card expired in March and come to find out that Canada Post has recently stopped selling the reloadable VISA's. I personally liked using them, just as any certifiable credit card and was accepted for purchases and travel bookings.

Fyi, I think its just the old magnetic strip Canada Post cards they aren’t issuing but you can get the newer style with chip and pin.

Glad to hear you liked it. When you used it for travel bookings did you have any issues with hotels? I've wondered if a hotel will accept it at checkin as long as the funds available on the card are sufficient. They don't take the other gift card types of prepaids.

I am simply responding to my experience here in Nanaimo. As, my VISA expired and I went to purchase a replacement, because my card also maxed out the $40,000 loadable limit and 2 Canada Post offices no longer carry/sell ANY reloadable prepaid VISA's. So, if you are fortunate enough to have that option in your area, I would recommend either V or MC GeeBeeP.
Considering that I frequent hotels in North America, I was always able to book stays and use it to check in and charge the authorization, incidental fees. There was just one hotel in Victoria that couldn't authorize and they accepted a cash deposit. You purchase and load the card and the company will send you your personalized card with expiration date. Easy.

A reloadable Credit Card.
Does that mean you have to put money on it first? If so, then what is the difference between it and an debit card?

Yes you put money on it first, but then use it like a credit card. So it can be used for online purchases and other things that won't accept a debit card. If some one were to get access to it the fraud would be limited to the amount you have loaded, and it is unconnected to any bank account so the fraud is isolated to the one card.
