Well, looks like Canada's in the group with Belgium and Croatia and Morocco. Not great, but not terrible.
We're the underdogs, definitely, but I don't think all is lost - maybe one win and one tie are possible, then who knows how it shakes out?
If we win one game, that's still better than our whole previous history.

I'm believing we'll go a lot further. Dominate the group, advance through the elimination matches, and even win this thing. They CMNT didn't reach the top of the CONCACAF table by pure luck.

Bit frustrating they kind of dropped the ball and lost out on pot 3 losing 2 of their last 3. Pot 3 would of most likely given them an easier draw.

Belgium has just way too much quality for them
They might be able to frustrate Croatia and Morocco and scrap out some sort of result in either of those matches. Should be fun!

You on spice? Pass some of that over here. LOL. Belgium and Croatia are on a different level than anything they were up against in CONCACAF

Fifa ranking has Belgium #2 Croatia #16 Canada #38.
However Canada just topped Mexico#9 and US#15 so the next ranking will probably put us near Croatia?
I couldn't find Morocco lol.
Win over Morocco tie with Croatia seems doable?

Morocco is #24

They have a solid team and a player at full back Achraf Hakimi that is as good as Alphonso if not better. Probably just a touch more quality throughout the side. They aren't pushovers.

Mexico and USA are also ranked higher than they should be just because of CONCACAF tax. There are plenty of European teams ranked below them with much more quality. IMo

Realistically Canada is very unlikely to get anything against Belgium and they could definitely draw the other two games or even possibly nick a win but it would most likely be against the run of play. They will have to play excellent in the Croatia and Morocco games to have any sort of chance of progressing. Should be really interesting to watch!!

I missed Morrocco...MAR? dunno how that translates to Morrocco but ok.

Surprised they're this high in the ranking, being a small country?

I don't follow it very closely as I guess is apparent!

Underdog status allows a team to play with more freedom and Morocco could be beaten by this scenario.

If you are surprised that Morocco is rated #24, being such a small country, --- you must be 'flabbergastered' to read that Belgium is rated #2.
Morocco has approx. 37 million people and 710,000 square miles --- while Belgium has approx. 12 million people and 31,000 square miles.

Regarding the upcoming World cup matches. I think Canada won't win a single match. JMHO.

yeah! with not so much enthusiasm..... wondering how the fuck that happened.

I suppose the cost of hockey in Canada was just too high? Soccer ball was cheaper and better exercise. Inflation?
