Not too worried about Canada being a 3rd world country. Last time I checked your country was far closers to 3rd world status than we were during the 2007 credit crisis. Not one single bank or financial institution went bankrupt during that period in Canada, while in the US hundreds such institutions went belly up, including giants like Bear Stearns and Lehman Bros.Hey bro, you're wasting your breath with these folks.
They're hyprnotized by socks, selfies and turbans. They don't understand numbers.
By the time they realize that Pretty Boy has fucked up their economy, and most of their businesses move to the US because of lower taxes, lower regulations and no more NAFTA "free pass, it'll be too late.
US economic nationalists (some of whom include Trump people) wear the scorn of you globalist hind tit suckers like a badge of fucking honour.
Make all the jokes you want. Just be ready to explain to your kids why you ended up with a 3rd world country with no jobs, no growth, no exports and all your resources sold down the river at the altar of bogus environmentalism and political correctness run amok.
Your argument may have some valid points but when you toss around 3rd World nonsense, it loses all credibility.
Few other points, Canada led all Q7 countries with 4.5% GDP growth in Q2-2017
In terms of investment in Canada, it’s just fine. Yes some companies have moved out, but others are moving in, Amazon and Mircosoft here in Vancouver to name a few. When it comes to investment decisions, what rules the day? Good workforce, rule of law, stable government, good infrastructure etc... Canada has all of those in spades.
So we’ll be fine in the long run.
