I agree with Hoops on this one. Holding is not the same as PI. Holding is a 5 yard penalty. Chancellor had position on that play and the receiver ran into him at which point they both got a bit handsy but should have been a no call.
Exactly how I saw it. The receiver bull rushed the DB to draw a call. The ref fell for it.

You could say the same for the officiating in the Steelers game in Seattle. The refs definitely helped them win that one too. As much as Seattle is a high level team who I respect they certainly always seem to be given breaks and somehow luck is always with them. Watching them get past Green Bay last year was ridiculous as was the Lions and Steelers game this season. And now to get by Minnesota on a missed 27 yard field goal?! It doesn't even seem real. Seattle didn't win yesterday, Minnesota lost. Their luck will run out sooner or later and all the 12s will flee like cockroaches!

Gotta be good to be lucky...Seattle had the ultimate bad luck last year so let's call it even

What was the ultimate bad luck last year?
I'm voting for a bone head pass attempt on the goal line to win vs Patriots.

Call it bad luck, meh people make errors in an imperfect game. Shit happens (just wish it was not in the Patriots favour)!

Chancellor did get away with a grab earlier in the game though.
you're right…holding is usually a 5 yard penalty. I chose the wrong word.
but Chancellor clearly impeded his progress and did not have position on that play,
and you know the refs are gonna call that PI 99.9% of the time.

imo, they should get rid of this 'no contact past 5 yard' rule.
it softens the game. NFL in the 90's was violent and entertaining at once.

s/b gd games this wkend

I'm picking,maybe with my heart,the Seahawks.

I think Denver&Arizona advance,and,dunno,just a hunch,going for a KC upset over the Pats.

btw, I get the "any-given-Sunday" thing but I'm shaking my head over....Week 15, Panthers demolist Falcons 38-0, Week 17, lose to same team 20-13.
I thought they'd go 16-0 but lose in the playoffs

enjoy the games!

Last week road teams. This week home teams.
Hopeful the Seahawks come out strong. I wouldn't mind a weekend in Phoenix.
King vs Coyotes game on Saturday night.

My picks are New England,as much as i hate them but they do win.Denver over the Steelers, big Ben is just too beat up this time,Hawks over the Panthers, supermans time has run out.And finally Arizona over the Packers all though i think it will be closer than most think.

Chiefs over Pats - Chiefs are on a roll and the Pats have been too lucky for too long this season.

Denver over Pitt - Peyton and Ben are both hurting. Denver grinds this one out.

Arizona over GB. I think this might be the game of the weekend to watch. Two great teams, great weather and both have lots to prove.

Hawks will win. D will come up big and Russell will have a great day. Whoever is RB will get the needed yardage just like all season long.

LOL. All you Seahawk homers. Carolina is going to demolish the Seahawks and as of the time I am writing this, are. To paraphrase Dennis Green, THE SEAHAWKS ARE WHO I THOUGHT THEY WERE!!!!

It's looking like boys playing against men out there today. Panthers have shut every Seahawk unit down. Beginning with Wilson.

Carolina took it to them early and often. Seahawks showed resolve and made a game of it. The points off of uncharacteristic turnovers was the difference today. I just want whoever has the best chance of beating New England to win the conference. I think Carolina is a bit stronger than Arizona and hope they get through.

I think the better team won, but sometimes I think pete carroll is his own worst enemy.
Good to see Denver rally for the win, sets up yet another Manning vs Brady showdown.
That GB come back was wild! Too bad they couldn't win the toss too, but give Arizona credit.

i was right 3 out of four.

Final four: NE vs Denver, I'll pick the broncos because of better defense.
Arizona vs Carolina, closely matched teams, I'll predict the home team, panthers win a high scoring game

As much as I hate them, New England will find a way to stop the Chiefs roll. Brady's short passing game will neutralize the KC pass rush and their defence has no answer for Gronk and a ( hopefully healthy ) Edelman. Don't buy Alex Smith as the guy to reach out take the game from Brady ( but I hope he does ). Tough to bet against the golden boy. Been burned too many times.

Packers will give Zona a scare but Arizona has too many weapons to be held back.

Seahawks season ends in a blow out at Carolina ( please no!). Seahawks just can't cover the middle anymore and newton will buy time and find Olsen repeatedly to extend drives. Beast mode is over and, despite Russell Wilson, Panthers dbacks will shut down his primary receivers. Their pass rush will limit RW's ability to find secondary options. ( I hope I have to eat these words Monday )

If Big Ben was healthy ( and maybe he's playing possum ?) I'd give Steelers a chance but I think Denver has too much talent to overcome.

I hope I'm wrong on all 4 because I'll be very depressed if I go 4-0

Whatever happens, I hope they're better games than last week's mixed bag.
Damn Lance, you got a crustal ball or something?

4-0 is pretty good but calling your shots? Bonus.

No slack in your rope.

Got to give Seattle credit for not giving up and trying to put some plays together to get themselves back into it. Giving up 31 points at the half, on the road, vs. the number 1 seed in the NFC is no easy task. They'll be back next year...

They should be but they need to invest in their offensive line.

It's too bad they have 20% of their cap tied up in $21m of wasted money with Lynch and Graham. That wasted cap did them no good the past 8 weeks - but they won anyway.

None of their O-line is in their top 20 of cap hit ( compared with 2-3 for the Pats, Cards, Panthers and Broncos).

Give Wilson Tom Brady's or Peyton Manning's protection and he'd be unstoppable.
Lynch is done as a Seahawk unless he is willing to renegotiate his contract(highly unlikely) and they will cut him loose before camp starts.
The Seahawks have often had trouble with early games starting in the east. 10 am Sunday morning is tough for everybody
