Swedish touch is probably having a tough time because of the competition generally but there are lots of tourists afraid to call someone up and so they will get there business.

They have been around a long time so chances are they will be staying - they have probably seen it all a few times. With all the fee and fine they charge the girls it may not matter whether they get customers at all.

I went there years ago and had an unbelievably expense blowjob by a very hot girl. Madame Cleos was the same thing some very hot girls and upsell, upsell, upsell.

Did it ever occur to you that noon to 4pm may be the agency's slowest period therefore, it has the fewest number of girls on duty?

You only reference the noon to 4pm time period but have you been there in the evening to see how many girls are on duty?

Why do you make the assumption that because it's slow between noon and 4pm that the place is in financial trouble and predicting its closure?

You're critical of the company for charging $135 for a room. But did it ever occur to you that there are people who are willing to pay that fee? After all, in this tough economy people are still buying expensive cars.

I had some delightful and memorable experiences at the Swedish Touch many years ago. The attraction was not the establishment itself, but the personalities of the women who were working there at the time.

I compare the number of girls they have on afternoons now to what they had several years ago. No comparison.

A few years back even around 1 pm they had at least 5 sitting on the couch you could choose from.

Swedish Touch has a grandfathered license so they cannot sell to anyone outside the immediate family.

They pay $ 8000 / month just for rent and their exclusive Bodyrub license, the only one of its type in BC, is about $ 10,000 / year.

They also have a Privacy Clause in their license which precludes the Police from going into a room if the door is closed.

So at least at Swedish Touch you have the peace of mind knowing the Police can't and likely won't barge in (if they do it is ruled Entrapment and gets thrown out of court).

But look at Toronto. There's 25 legal Bodyrubs in the GTA and they only charge $ 50 for a room; for example at Blue Pearl where I was.

The problem in Vancouver is lack of competition especially now with Madame Cleos in Massage Parlour form not coming back at least till after the Olympics

yeah that's why I clarified my comments as being "GTA" (Greater Toronto Area). That's everything outside the City of Toronto.

Inside the City of Toronto, no legal Bodyrub. That's why so many get busted.

And in Toronto you do get busted. So be warned.

The touch is licenced to provide legal hand releases, and you are allowed to lock the bedroom doors. If you are having sex with someone at the touch, the cops have no right to walk in, but just say if they do, you are 2 consenting adults doing what adults do. Nude hand releases are legal there, as opposed to other places, where they have to have little windows in the door. The same rules as intercourse apply there as they do any where else. They do have a different licence than any where else. The touch is busy because of the bar upstairs and the odd traveling millionaire. They are not busy when the bar is closed.

There is absolutely no way that any type of municipal licences 'trumps' the rights of a police warrant, the canadian criminal code or provincial inspection laws. I don't know about their licence in particular, or what it says, but I do know the chain of command in law, and municipal laws are the bottom rung. If they are violating a federal or provincial law (ahem... ahem....) no municipal by law or licence is going to save them.

As long as Brandis doesn't get their liquor license lifted, the Swedish Touch has a chance to remain open. At least till the Olympics; beyond the Olympics all bets are off.

Brandis closes, the Touch closes with it. The Touch is only busy when Brandis is open (even more so now with a faultering economy).

It's no secret that the stripclub drives the business for the massage parlour considering they cater to the same clientelle.

If Brandis should lose their liquor license (they've already been written up with one warning about gang involvement), they're gone and the Touch goes with it.

Didn't the owner of Penthouse stripclub get shot back in the 1970s?
