Can someone fully explain the "High Track" downtown, etc?

I know where it is, but I would like to know the actual truth behind the reasons why I never witness any police busts of Johns or SW's in that downtown "High Track" while there are busts all night long over on East Hastings.

What is the unofficial, perhaps unwritten 'policy' of law enforcement having to do with those striking high track SW's downtown?

From what I recall, a favorite line uttered by those mostly-gorgeous women is "can you spend a hundred bucks?", which is the lure, and then you learn later that something as basic and fast as (FS w/both fully nude) would run you maybe $500 to $700 and be over in a snap.

Now of course most Perberts would say: "why not just set up a two- or three-hour appointment with an SP and get a much better deal?"

That makes total sense and would be my preference, but I just want to understand the difference between the high track politics and that of the downtown east side.

Thanks for any further understanding you can share.

2005 marks my 10th aviversary on the tracks, so I think I know a thing or two on the subject. The High Track is a farily recent development in Vancouver history. Previously the girls would work in the Penthouse cabaret, then the police cracked down and they moved to the streets, first in the West End, then Mount Pleasent, then they moved to the High Track. Yes, the girls are knockouts, but they are no better then the low track girls. Yes I got burned. The girls are tricked out, so there is a set price. My ex called them
"Barbie Doll Whores". Before the high priced condos were built and Yaletown was gentryfied, the High Track was the gay stroll, and there used to be a casino on the corner of Richards and Georgia, so that really was the only reason to go there - unless you were going to a football game at BC Place -, now the girls are being told to move back indoors, that's why there are so many ads in the WE and the GS - ironic ain't it?

I could tell you some stories about my experiences, but I will save that for a later time.

I've never had anything to do with the hi-track chicks except Rose back around 1999 when she migrated up there from the Mid. No haggeling she just got in and still gave me Mid track prices. That long gone the girls now are just 3-4 laps worth of eye candy. Over priced and usless service is what you get.....so I hear. And by the look of some of 'em I believe it.

As far as the cops go....I dunno. When your booting around down there you don't question why you don't see any cops you just enjoy the peace. I mean christ sakes some little ol lady may be gettin robbed, but your most important contribution to the city is bustin my balls over a 20 buk BJ.

Some call Kingsway the high track, personally to me Kingsway is Kingsway.

I would forget the HT chicks and just goto the Pent House, have a few drinks, then hit #5, then maybe 1 more nudie bar. Then top it off with a 1 or two green BJ on the Low or Mid and call it a night.

High track policies aren't anything like mp's, sp's, or indies. They are geared towards tourists first and foremost; and locals that use outside girls are either filthy ass rich or just dumb as a hammer. The girls have a hook line they all use, an exclusive hotel provided for them on hastings, a set of rules that remains definate, and ussually a nightly quota. The police leave them alone if they follow the unwritten basic guidelines that have been the same since the start really. It keeps the tourists happy and the girls safe and Vancouver on the top of the list of most exciting places to visit in Canada.

The politics around where the police are is driven by how fed up the local neighbourhoods get with street activity and it's not about harassing the girls...the police are after the johns with respect to sw action.

The parental advice of "don't play in the street" applies even to grown up kids.

Right on Westwoody. You have the historical perspective (someone oughta write a book about the Vancouver scene)

Seventies along West Georgia and the West End was the absolute heyday. Most attractive, friendly girls at realistic prices.

Second best period, IMHO, was the 80s and 90s Quebec Street.

Now, I just find the whole SW scene depressing. Totally agree with hightrack re the high track "Over priced and usless service is what you get.....so I hear"
Kingsway has its moments but it is so spread out and hit and miss..

At this point in Van, best scene is off the street. But who knows, could change.

Sounds like a plan.
