Question for you. Can shaving your genitals make you more prone to catching STD's?

I'm in the hobby and like to keep my area well-groomed (shaved close as possible with an electric razor).

I have not been able to find any information (scientific studies) that shows you are more at risk by shaving. I don’t think it has ever been done.

I think the main risk would be if the shaving causes cuts or irritation to the skin that would make it easier for a virus to get in.

If your skin is in good condition I can’t see a problem.
