Can anyone recommend a reasonable and talented Webdesigner?

I am considering putting up a website and I have had so called web designers contact me thru CL but they are very tardy on their responding which leads me to not want to do any type of bizz with them right off the hop.

I'm looking for someone punctual, reliable, cheap and knows his/her stuff.

There's an old saying in the production business (I used to be a multimedia designer): "Everyone wants it good, fast and cheap. I tell them to pick two and call me back."

The truth is there's a lot of work out there for web designers. You're not going to find a skilled professional for chump change. Most of them have good paying gigs.

My advice is to post an AD for a web designer on CL. It's costs about $20 and you will get about 100 responses. Only reply to the emails that write a good cover letter addressing what you specified in your AD.

I would suggest keeping the site very simple. It you do anything fancy at all 90% of designer out there will screw it up for you. If you need more specifics just ask and people on the board will try to answer them as best as possible

I believe it only costs to post employment ads on CL in the Bay Area. It's free up here. I post help wanted ads for subcontractors all the time.

Also, she's already said that the responsiveness of her CL-based web designers has left much to be desired.
