I had posed my questions in response to a post (quoted below) in the review section for "Avery@Shiatsu GFE pricing not GF experience", but others pointed out that the thread is being hijacked and I did not receive any answers to my questions. So, I'm re-posting in the general discussion section and hope that some people will provide me with some answers.

Charging extra for "extras" is totally acceptable. there is alot of risk involved for the girls, if they care about their health. if anyone has read up on STD'S, certain diseases are undetectable and can be found not only in the genital area, but also in the eyes and throat....if the girl is charging extra, clients should agree with the individual girl's pricing. usually, (from my personal exprience) things like DATY, result in a visit to the clinic, and in my situation, the client is paying for:
a) The parking at the clinic,
b) My starbucks (and one for my nurse because she rocks)
c) A Cosmo magazine
d) The embarassment of sitting in that tiny waiting room, and of course,
e) The overall examination, which is never pleasant. (Speculum, anyone?)
Can anyone answer the following:
How often do Sp's get checked for STD's?
How often are Sp's who provide extras (like DATY) infected?
How often are SP's who do not provide extras infected?
Is there a bylaw that requires Sp's to be tested every month or even more often?
Can some STD's be tested in-house? If so, can't the clients be tested as well? (I would pay extra for this service)

I am still trying to determine what type of service I want, and would really appreciate some honest answers to base my decision on.

Please PM me if you prefer, but I think this kind of discussion would benefit both Sp's and clients.

Thanks in advance,

It would be very hard to gauge honestly here on this board the answers to your questions. Some people never get tested and see several woman and see street walkers and they recieve unprotected activities ranging from Fs to Daty to Dato etc, etc, hel I have heard that some even recieve unprotected full service. Then these individuals go home and sleep with thier wives or the working girls have boyfriends too, its all really unrealistic to know for sure.

I belive it is up to the individual client to protect himself as well as for the lady. I try and see ladies that have reviews and reputations that include safe practices but you really never know, alot of women say publically that they NEVER do bbbj and yet in private messages its revealed that this one or that one did it with this guy and not that one.
I believe a woman can do what she wants with her body and so can a man.
In my experience I wiegh the risks, I personally try and see women that I believe are practicing "safer" sex and It is my view that every encounter comes with a degree of risk unless you and your partner go to a clinic and get tested together and share the results with each other.

I have been involved for sometime in pooning and I always get tested myself regularly just in case. I believe you can have any number of things happen during a session that you should understand to be the risk you take, condoms break it happens, hopefully you end up with provider that is safe.

The reality is that it is not madatory for anyone to get tested but it is a smart thing to do if an individual cares at all about his own health and the women he spends time with.

Relying on anyone else to protect you is not what I would recommend, Protect yourself the best you can and have some fun while you are doing it.

Thanks for your comments.

If I assume by your join Date of May 2004 that you have been pooning for 2.5 years, and that you have been practicing "safer" sex during this time, and you have not contracted any STI/STD's, can you explain what you consider as "safer" sex?

What if I qualify the SP's to only those who work at the better operated MP's like Supreme, Passions, Legends, MMC, 50th St ? (These are only my perception of the MP's that are better operated based on what I have been reading on this board.)

Am I being naive to think that some Sp's have never contracted any STI/STD's (those who have been in the biz for longer than a year)?

Are there any Mp's that insist on regular testing by their staff?

I would also appreciate knowing Trawler's thoughts regarding these questions.

Thanks,

Nothing is 100% safe

I have by chance met with a couple of sp boyfriends. The girls they dated got tested twice a month (with papers to prove apparently). With all client activities involving condoms, the risk of anything serious is fairly low. Having said that, you never know for sure. Some sps may be bar girls on the weekends as well, negating the safety they practice "on the job". As far as I know there is no manditory testing. Especially as pooning is a "tolerated" activity, not legalized. Good thing it's not legalized either, the prices would skyrocket if the government got taxes from it. You still are safer (as far as casual sex is concerned) at a mp, then getting drunk and picking up some dirt from a nightclub. Whenever alchohol and/or other impairments are involved, protection is rarely used. Also, who's to say that if you are dating or married that you won't catch something? Just because you like someone, does'nt mean they are immune to stds/stis or faithful. Bottom line, there will always be some risk involved in sex of no matter where you find it. All you can do is use protection at all times. Hopefully avoiding the consequences of others reckless activities.

Thanks Captain,

I understand that any sex is not 100% safe. I am trying to get a better understanding of the risks for "safer" sex compared to activities like DATY. If the SP's who only provide "safer" sex still contract STI/STD's once or twice a year and those who provide extras contract STI/STD's only a few more a year, I would probably risk some extras once in a while. But if Sp's who only provide "safer" sex rarely contract STI/STD's over 5 years, I would probably stay on the "safer" side.

To those who regularly engage in extras (DATY, BBBJ or DFK), how often do you get tested, and how often are the results positive?

To those who only engage in "safer" sex, same questions.

If you do not want to reveal how often the results are positive, please still answer how often you are tested.

Thanks,

dreamer123 ...

there is no answer to your question. It is impossible to determine who "always" practices safe sex and who does not. Everyone who is involved has a private life as well.

It is each persons responsibility to protect themselves. IMHO you only have two ways of doing this:

1. Use a condom and avoid the exchange of fluids; and
2. Get tested regularely.

Personally I have been active in the Hobby for ten years, use condoms all the time and get tested every six months. I have been fortunate enuff to have never been infected by an STI.

Thanks Trawler,

I am very surprised that you have not been infected over the last 10 years (no disrespect meant) of active participation in this Hobby.

I would think that it is very possible for some safety conscious ladies to never had STD/STI's, but none has replied to confirm this.

Still, I feel much better about taking up this Hobby as long as the ladies are well reviewed and are from well operated establishments. I will still start out on the safe side in the begining, but may try some extras as I get more comfortable with a particular lady.

tested every 3 months when actively pooning. every 6 months when not.
Thanks Megatron,

Every 3 months sounds reasonable. I don't have a regular doctor. Would you recommend the STI centre or a regular walk-in clinic?

Thanks again,

Hey dude, i like the sti center. They are all professionals there, they see people of all walks of life. SP's, pooners, regular people everyday. I know the first time you go it will probably be a bit awkward but they make you feel pretty comfortable, that is of course until they stick a Q-tip in your Johnson!!!!

:D :D :D really its not as big as a Q-tip, it just feels that way. :D :D :D
Thanks Megatron,
I only found one STD centre in the edmonton area (11111 Jasper Ave). This location & hours of operation is not convenient for me as I work out of town.

Anyone know of a clinic that is open on weekends and/or evenings?

Thanks,
