Looks great. But then, I've never owned domestic so I don't know about living with one. Been looking at the Mustang GT. How does the Cadillac STS/CTS pare up? I'm looking for reliability, quality, and excitement.

The Caddy looks way cool

Just based on looks alone, I would go with the Cadillac. That's some high-end pimpin' there. I'd feel like a fiddy rollin' wit my niggaz. I don't know anything about reliability, gas mileage, or value for the dollar though.

Its still a fuckin' GM. Gsus man, unless you've been locked in a closet for the last 10 years, you should know the dirt on GM. If you don't, well, I'd strongly suggest you buy one. Then, and only then, will you know what total pieces of shit they really are.

Go with the BMW or Mercedes, you'll be glad you did.

The only thing that really buuged me about the 300 is that you sit below the windows and in the summer you can't rest your arm on the open window while you are driving.

really like my CTS - handles well, got enough oomph, and the dealer gave a good deal on it (due to GM troubles...) unlike you'll get on a Mustang (no deal on best-selling car) - but the price point is higher with all the bells. Can't remember which year stabilitrak comes standard so you might want to ask.

Comparable to CTS is BMW 3 series or Lexus 300 type...

Also, mustangs are more of a target, 2 door.

STS is much more than CTS (at least the one I'd get).

Stay away from Mercedes. C230 looks like a flipping honda.
Only thing i don't like is big blind spot due to big rear window posts...

Go for a test drive

How much will you spend for a new ride?

I've had a couple of the STS's as rentals......not a bad ride but under powered with the 3.6l engine.....lots of weight to pull around with only 254hp......I'd like to take the supercharged 4.4l out for a spin

Can't speak to reliability but it is a comfortable ride.

At first I thought the new 300c was sort of fugly but it does grow on you. I've also driven a few of these as rentals and there is a ton of umphf! Spent a fair bit of time driving in the interior and it has a pretty broad power band which makes it nice for passing. Its a little mushy in the corners though.

Amen fuzzy.....while I gladly drive a GM as a rental, Satan will be shitting ice cubes before I'd ever buy another one of their vehicles. I say fuck GM, their executives, union work force, dealerships, etc.

Check out some of the new vulva's.....the R and S80 are right sexy (if you can call a 4 door vehicle sexy)

Funny you mention that. I had the same complaint when driving both the 300c and older 300m. Sitting so low I felt like I needed a pork pie hat, lime green plaid pants and be ready for retirement in florida.

I assume that you mean Volvo, a company that used to produce great long lasting cars and now because it is totally owned by FORD it produces cars that lack the reliability of its past products.

True. They even use Ford parts in the cars now. Add to the list Jag, Land Rover, and Aston Martin. They're all just overpriced fuckin' Focus's now. Not that that's a bad thing. I've heard good things about the Focus. :)

In the last 6 yrs I've been involved in a comparison road test put on by BMW which has cars from Audi,Caddilac,Mercedes,Lexus,Infinity and of course BMW. From 1999 to 2003 nothing compared well with the 3 German automakers but the last 2 yrs the rest have caught up and even passed them in some catagories. Last yr we drove the sport models ie. the BMW M series, the AMG 32 etc. and my fave was the Infinity M45. Although I did'nt pick it I really liked the CTS, it does'nt handle as well as the Catera did but has more power in the american sense(low rpm torque) and would leave the Mustang in the dust, albeit for a lot more money. The quality of the materials used has improved every yr and fit and finish is excellent but was not as good as Lexus. All in all these cars were very comparable and the Caddy was not out of place, it even earned some new customers.

As for the 300, two of my family members own them and till now are very happy although one of them has recently run into transmission problems at 70000 kilometers.
