C A F?

New to this forum and have seen C A F mentioned a few times.
Did a search but came up empty. Could someone please enlighten me as to the definition of C A F

Basicly a forum for people who got banned from perb. It's where the unwanted garbage goes. At any given time the Edmonton perb section has more active users reading it than the whole active users on that entire board.

Those comments about CAF are unfair ...

many PERBerts are on both Boards, like me, and the Calgary Intel is better than the Calgary section on PERB. The owner of the CAF Board and Mods are more involved than the Owner/Mods on PERB so there is less flaming.

Both Boards serve a useful purpose and there is no need to treat them as competing or better or worse. I love the Oilers but when I am in Calgary I still like to go to a Flames game so I can cheer on any team that is playing against them . Thank Gawd we have both teams in Alberta

Well Trawler and Jim, it looks like we've been put in our place. Those of us who also post on the other board are now classified as unwanted garbage in Bobo's eyes. And remember. His opinion counts for more than ours.

I for one am more than happy that asshats like him stay on PERB where they belong.

Very well put Trawler!

People in South Alberta/Calgary tend to use CAF, and people in North Alberta/Edmonton tend to use PERB. There is an Edmonton presence on CAF and there is a Calgary presence on PERB. The mods on CAF tend to be much more involved than the mods on PERB. Both are great boards for their own reasons, just different.

I treat each as a source of information on each area of the province. Living in Red Deer, it is the same distance to each city, so I pick what I like at the moment and go with that.

Statements like this kind of prove how much your opinion DOES NOT count more than others... Think before you type next time please.

As the others have stated, CAF is Perb without the requirement of flame retardant underwear. As well, the review sections are kept clean of advertisements. I like Perb because a lot of SPs post non-advert type of announcements and chat with the others, I like CAF for other reasons.

I for one, don't consider myself "Unwanted Garbage" as you so eloquently call all of us who are posting over there, nor do I consider most of the people who post over there less than desirable posters.

I think CAF is a very active board, quite welcoming to both clients and sps, very Calgary centered for the most part. Great place for traveling sps to establish themselves before making a trip, I would think. Worth being active if you are in that area, still nice to visit if you are not.

As Trawler said, there is a value on both boards. I find that I check the review section of PERB for primarily for advertising now. I used to post exclusively on PERB, then cross posted for awhile, however, I now generally post my reviews on CAF where they are accepted at face value without the put downs. The moderators on CAF are definitely more active and do not tolerate abusive posters which makes for a somewhat more relaxed and tolerant community.
