Why is it that some people just delight in making trouble for others when it has nothing to do with them?
As you may have guessed, the busybody married couple of my building that sit in their fishbowl office and keep tabs on people coming and going in the lobby during regular daytime hours, somehow sussed out my situation and contacted my landlady with my website. More than a little irritating to experience, firsthand, the stigmatization, pure ignorance, and preconceived notions regarding myself and the industry. I'm just wondering if anyone has any info regarding the legalities of eviction if there is no real proof (other than the apartment being recognizable in my website photos) that I'm using it as a place of business (which goes against strata rules), not to mention there is absolutely nothing illegal happening? It especially irks me because I know that if it were a personal training or health and wellness coach or even drug dealer, it would have been ignored. I wonder if they would have different attitudes if I was just having a couple of male visitors a day/4xweek because I am a self-proclaimed slut, and money was taken out of the picture? Somehow I doubt it. Which I find even more irritating, because it's so blatantly a clash of morals and personal judgment that is quite frankly, no one's business or place to judge. You can't kick someone out for having a voracious sexual appetite. I view my sexual choices as private. I sure as hell don't want to know what's going on behind their closed doors (which is apparently nothing. Maybe he just needs to brush the cobwebs off her pussy and give her a proper seeing to so that they can stop paying such close attention to my personal choices).
Just to clarify before people start telling me: I understand the reasons people have preconceived notions, and I understand that I put myself at risk of discovery in any indie situation. I am just stubborn as hell, intolerant of prejudice and double standards of any kind, and very self-righteous when I know things are not just.
Thats my condensed rant. Any opinions/discussions/advice......
PS a huge thank you to the really amazing girls in the business who have been so accommodating and supportive. I think I was the envy of a lot of men yesterday when I shared my experience and had quite a few sexy Victoria indies calling to make sure I was ok. Love you ladies and this strange subculture <3
