Actually Shortie, Stalin's English is quite correct. He was using "impresses" as a phrasal verb. Impressions can be good, bad or neither. His advice is also good.

impress sth on/upon sb

phrasal verb

to make someone understand or be aware of the importance or value of something:
- Mr Simmons tried to impress on me how much easier my life would be if I were better organized.

I agree ... if you're that hung up about it spend your time sending letters to the Globe and Mail! They love that.

I am not offended. My intention was to attempt to provide some simple advice based on what I have been told by other SPs whom I have known for some time. These impressive women have left a lasting positive impression upon my perception of reality, and impressed me with their apparent inner strength and sheer business savy. I hope I have not left anyone with a negative impression of me. Since I can be very impressionable, I just wanted to clear up any understanding. Impressed?

Good one Stalin ... I'm certainly favourably impressed! It should hold the grammar police off for a while! LOL

Thank you, Tom25. Actually, my grammar is not that good, but I try. I also get kinda giddy when I write about Mandy and Keisha. Those two ladies have left a lasting positive impression on me. The result is that my grammar and vocabulary start to become somewhat over used. I just can't find the words to describe my high opinion of those two fine women. I'll just put it this way: WOW!
