On the matter of tipping
I don't think I'm heartless. The amount I've paid out in tips to SPs over the years, especially early on, could easily finance 2 months' worth of pooning for me now.
While this hobby has invigorated my joie de vivre enormously, it's also produced frequent ebb in my bank account—so I've developed some specific expectations of a tip-deserving SP.
I don't set a lady's rate structure, just try to seek out SPs that seem to offer the best deal and pay the requested amount. An extra tip at the end signals, to my mind, that the SP's approach deserves to be commended and encouraged. It's basically saying, "You've done your job right."
Having a soft heart, I tend to tip for good-faith effort more than performance: e.g. a clumsy CG may still warrant a tip, but refusing to try ACG doesnt. ACG is so central to my enjoyment of a session—even more important than a BBBJ—that I make no exceptions to my "No CG/no tip" rule.
If an SP displays the kind of initial crankiness Jenny showed, then refuses to do CG, and throughout gives me a "Get-it-over-with-ASAP" attitude, how can I justify giving her a "You did your job right" signal by tipping her??
Friendly, even heart-wrenching conversation at the end isn't really pertinent. Most of these women have sad stories, and hearing them isn't what I've come for. I'm not a walking charity dispenser but expect solid service on terms of mutual civility, for whatever fee they wish to charge in the existing market.
One other note: Chinese culture is, generally, a non-tipping culture (I don't really know about Thailand). I've found myself looked at oddly, even ridiculed, when I wanted to tip in Mainland China's restaurants, hair salons or massage parlors, and sometimes had my tip firmly returned! In a society where satisfactory service is ensured, as best it ever can, by fierce competition, tips serve little purpose and may just complicate business.
