I really have to disagree. By now, Buster's should have learned to look in the car before towing it.

policy of making money

like many of us it is there only policy to make as much money as they can. so sufice to say the faster they hook up and get the vehicle to the lot the sooner the driver can be out making more money. I remember way back when I was looking for work and rode with a tow service and my god you had to be a complete ass to do the job. now I am not talking BCAA drivers.

the minute the car is off the ground is the minute the charges start. now lets see some irate person comes running out and demands you drop their car. is this person a nut case or just mad. you get out of the truck and hey you never know you get you ass kicked. do you think they will stay around for that again. that as we see it today is self perservation. get my work to a controled area. where someone eles can deal with it.

The classic pass the blame game.

This particular sitation aside, if you're stupid enough to leave your kid in the car illegally parked maybe you deserve to have your stupid kid towed with it.

For fucks sake, people need to start taking responsibility for there own actions.

Let's see. An 85 year old woman has some sort of issue that has her parking her car. The windows frost up because of her breath. Neither the bylaw officer or the tow truck driver care enough to take a peek through the window. It's somehow her fault that a bunch of callow people leave her to freeze overnight in the Buster's impound lot?

You obviously have never had the experiance of herding a bunch of kids on the way to a car while trying to buy their supper. There all kinds of reasons that a kid can be in a car alone while the parent trys to also get their sibiling(s) there.

Well as I said before, this is a freak accident. A one time thing. A fluke if you will.

Nope. Thank god I haven't. By your logic it's ok to illegally park your car if you've got your hands full with ratty kids?

I agree Dakota, Fuck Busters with a Capital F. One of their cocksucker drivers was straddling the middle of the road and nearly hit me head on. Instead I got lucky, veered at the last second, and he just ripped the side of my car open with his wheel...and then the asswipe had the audacity to try and blame it on me. They drive around at top speed trying to hook that extra car for the day. Fuck those cocksuckers....and I used to think Unitow was bad!!!

I heard on the news that the windows were so badly frosted that they couldn't see in AND that they have a policy of not going into the car to check for registration until the next day as most people claim their car right away.

Maybe their policy is trying there so that they not invading people's personal space because of complaints before. I know I'd have an issue with someone jimmying my door open to root through my stuff if my car was towed. I sometime have to leave my "work kit" complete with lubes, massage oils, toys and lingerie under the seat of my car. Cars are pretty personal places and I don't want some troglodyte tow truck guy going through my stuff.

Also I imagine people would file complaints or ask for compensation for broken or scratch windows from rough jimmying or stolen stuff. Money and "drama" is probably behind the "don not enter" policy.

As much as I loath to admit it I actually kinda agree with MustangJoe :)eek:!) that it's probably a freak occurrence as tragic as it is.

I've seen busters and other tow truck drivers in action, all they are interested
is to tow as fast as possible. If the owner comes before or in the middle of the towing they loose money .This guys do it so fast ,i mean really fast.I'm sure he wasn't interested in looking inside, just tow it so he can make extra money. If i'm the children of the person inside the car i would look into getting a goodlawyer and sue both buster and bylaw office.

Didn't he have to open the door to tie off the steering wheel and put the gear into neutral? I've been towed many times, sometimes without my knowledge, watching from afar as they hook up and tow. They always go in the car first.

re

Awww come on you people make me laugh... Your bitchin because a tow-truck driver is doing his job and making a living!! I guess if you actually had a job we could find something to complain about, then post it here bitching that all your concerned about is doing your job and making money..
This is everybody fault you let a 85 year old women with dementia drive her fricken car, get a clue where was her family and why do we allow the infirm to drive on our roadways???? If she rammed through a bus stop killing the people waiting there what would be the response.
So you have a cold nite, frosted windows "hmmm brianiac I had to scrape my windows and nobody was inside breathing" but yet you expect the tow-truck driver to search the car, Why so your low-life lying asswipes can conjure up a story of the 2 grand you had on the dashboard of your 78 pinto and the 3 grand stereo that is now missing, yet more amazingly yah cheap bastard did not have the buck fifty for a parking meter............Quite simply it's not whats is in the car thats important if you leave your kids in there shame on you perhaps child welfare should be informed, it's not safe not even for a minute.. The Tow Truck is ordered to remove the offending vehicile as quicly as possible that is thier mandate they have a contractual obligation with the city police and fire departments to do so and in a timely fashion. BUSDRIVER your the biggest joke you clowns drive so piss poor they had to pass laws to enable you to get on the road, hey remember driver training there jokester if that turn signal flashes more then once its too much!! FLEXXX Duh the flashing lights mean you have to yield the right away even to a tow-truck get your drivers manuel out and check it out! SWEETIEPIE do you take blood samples from your customers and wait for the results befor servicing them DUH. DAKOTA what were you high on, that you did not call the cops and have him charged??? 911 it's only three digits not that hard to forget and very easy to report you managed to figure out how to post here or is the truth really that you ran into the side of thier truck with momies car and choose to fuck off and blame the tow-truck. Its not rocket science people if you cant park legally expect to be towed, if you buy it and dont pay for it expect it to be towed stop blaming the tow truck because you broke the law or your just to stupid to own a car, being on the road is a privledge not your rite!!

Your all so quick to point a finger and pass judgement and too busy to pay attention to the road worrying about squeezing that tow-truck out so it can't get to the accident ahead of you and clear it. Next time your so busy wagging that finger you better be in front of a mirror, because i hate to break it to you but your shit stinks, you not perfect, and if you dont care about a buck then your either a liar or a welfare bum living of the taxes that the tow-truck driver pays.

Now piss off.

Is there no intelligent thought left.

When I had my explorer, I got a parking ticket in downtown Richmond. I got towed, but that was my fault. Anyways, when I go to pick up my explorer, all around my rear bumper was scratched, like they hit it. When I asked, they told me to take a hike and call their manager. I did, and was put to voice mail. After 3 messages, I went down to the office. The guy told me to screw off, literally.

I got it fixed, $800 or something like that. Busters can screw themselves!

What's wrong with trying to make a little money? Geez.. Everyone wants to make lots of money, but as soon as someone else tries to it's like a crime or something.

Yeah right. This lady would have died if her car was towed or not. I don't know about the rest of you but I don't go around scraping satrangers windows. Fuck, if she wasn't towed, she might still be sitting there.

If the frost was on the INSIDE of the windows, that should have been enough to indicate something was amiss.
The issue of culpablity falls on the bylaw officer who ticketed the car, not Busters.
