Just to resurrect this thread. I haven't been able to source out a true "burner phone" 711 requires you to give your email or somesuch now. I asked the guy if I could get one on a cash basis without giving any personal information and he said no. That doesn't exist anymore. You have to give them some kind of contact info. Koodo said the same.
Any enlightenment on this one?
If only one could create a burner email...

Buy a webhosting service based in a country outside of Canada. Then you can create as many emails as you want, just don't use it for any financial or personal data.

I’ve used an old personal phone that gets a complete reset, then you only have to get the sim and time voucher from a place like 7-11. You’ll need an email to set up the account online, but I use a private pooning email address, unknown to anyone in my real life, for all kinds of things as I’m sure many of us do. I believe you can still buy phones from pawn shops etc… without any names needed.

i know it’s not a true burner in the sense of never bing associated with me, but I’m not using it for any criminal intent. i just need to keep prying eyes from seeing anything on my regular phone, be able to erase texts from it, and have a separate number to use for SP bookings etc...

For a reliable and secure “burner” email I’d suggest protonmail. Several indy SP’s use it for similar reasons.

Yeah ... get another email. It's not like it's hard to get a Gmail account. If Gmail scares you look up 'private email account'

You can buy a sim card with cash from 7-11
You can buy a top up card with cash from 7-11
You can buy an unlocked phone on Craigslist, FB Marketplace or whatever you have locally. In cash, it's preferred. An unlocked Samsung Galaxy A series is less than $100, and the bonus ... it's Cash Only

The online account you can use fake info. I tried it for fun. Totally worked.

A good way to go is to install a VPN on your phone and utilize one of the texting app services, relatively untraceable unless you are doing something seriously illegal b that surpasses the hobby , proton mail is a very good throw away email as well. Sorry if this response is redundant at this point.
a lot of Sp's won't book with a text app. It may work for you but if you have your heart set on a certain lady you may be making yourself ineligible to visit by using a text app.

Well, if you created the account while on your primary phone, or connected to you home wifi, you may be leaving an IP trail, and that is kinda personal info. Look through the perbatory bans to see funny examples.

Also, location services, and devices talking or sharing info with each other, like ELS, are often on by default and may be used by apps in the background.

Turn OFF location services. Turn OFF bluetooth services. Most traffic lights have bluetooth readers, that's how they figure out what the traffic density / rate of flow is. It's also a part of how location services work. Just turn them both off

It’s virtually impossible for these providers to tell if you are using an app. As long as you have 204 or 431 area code.

Looks like 7-11 is phasing out their SpeakOut numbers by the end of the month. I guess it used the old 3G network that's being decommissioned. Sucks cause I just topped up too lol

They are just upgrading their network. Discontinued shipments of SIM cards to stores so only way right now is to purchase for mailing. Which requires, Credit card and mailing address. So there's that

Does anyone know if there are any Readystation kiosks in Winnipeg? They allow converting cash to pre-paid credit cards. Might be useful in this scenario.

But Lucky seems to not have Pay-As-You-Go plans...... have to pay at least 19$ a month!

Anyone know of a good Pay-As-You-Go substitute? Ideally i'd like to keep the number too
