Midnight tonight.

I have not yet seen this one but I've heard a lot of good things about it. I noticed that it has recently been added to NetFlix and I have added it to "My Que / My List" so I'll probably just watch this one on NetFlix. But I can imagine that a Midnight show of this might be interesting...

Heavy Metal - Late night Friday

Doors 11:30pm / Movie 11:59pm
Tickets $6 advance/costume
Tickets $8 at the door.

OK, here we go… it’s the Canadian (John Candy, Al Waxman, Eugene Levy, Joe Flaherty and more!) bit of sci-fi animation you’ve been waiting to see on the big screen since, oh, forever. HEAVY METAL is happening as a Friday Late Night Movie on November 21st.

“A sweeping story of the battle of good against evil is told through an anthology of short animated films about a glowing green orb (the Loc-Nar) that is the personification of ultimate evil in the universe. Based loosely on the American magazine “Heavy Metal,” and the French magazine “Métal Hurlant”. “

I love the various stuff that shows at the Rio! I've been to a couple burlesque shows there, and I had a blast both times. The Star Wars themed ones are especially awesome :)

Get ready. Christmas will never be the same...

I did go to see this last week and with the exception of having to watch it while sitting behind a guy with the biggest head around which I've ever had to try to watch a show, I really enjoyed it. It's definitely narratively challenged and it certainly helps if you're fairly well versed in the work of Tim Burton but it was well worth the time. So, for anyone who might be interested, another chance to check it out tonight.
